What game do you want most this year and why?

Kansas State. We've found so many ways to lose to them, we have to be due.

Obviously Oklahoma would be amazing, but part of me doesn't want to spoil the Big 12's chance for a playoff team. We desperately need credibility as a conference, and OU is probably the only shot at a national champion.

Not to play into the Super Bowl bull **** but I would really like to win in Iowa. Road game against a rival for the new coach would be sweet.

For conference I'll echo what others are posting, Sooners and Purple Kansas.

Oklahoma, but not very realistic.

A beatdown of a bad KSU team instead of inventing ways to lose to one would be a good way to start a program shift.
Why is everyone assuming they'll be bad? They lost their qb before the season even started last year...if he's any good they could be pretty decent/good. I never count Bill Snyder out, I don't know why others are so willing. Wishful thinking?

Out of games we have a good chance winning? K State, we have been playing them so close these last few years and we should've won last year. It's time to start kicking them around.

Any game? OU, I would love to knock them out of the CFP and have Iowa state reclaim the title of upset King. Those years were fun when the media would talk about how Iowa state is going to beat a top dog sometime during the year.

K state. Anyone saying otherwise needs to review how they've eeked out wins over us for like every game the past 8 years.

They should have lost to ISU and ISU was awful last year?

I watched them quite a bit. If that QB is good, a big if, they could be ok. I don't see their ceiling being any higher than 6th. Snyder's done it before but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Where is Surly? Did I miss a post with their distinctive font? I'm surprised with all of the desire to beat K-S-Uuuuuu this year that they haven't commented yet.

With that said: K-State. Their multiple snatches of victory from the jaws of defeat are tiresome. Also, the last time (2013?) I went to a game in Manhattan, their fans were hawkeye-level classless.

Thing about the Iowa game is that our bowl chances so often hinge on it and this year is no different. We're not getting four conference wins so we need the Iowa game.

OU is the obvious answer, since they're the best team we face and we should want to beat the best.

I always like beating Iowa though. They're not our Super Bowl, but they are a rivalry. I've never thought that beating Iowa and losing a bunch of other games means we had a good season. However, beating Iowa makes me happy nonetheless.

Would be nice to finally finish v ksu but it really does little for the team or the program. OU would clearly turn a few heads and in the first year of a new regime that could be huge. Fluke or not, it would help move us forward. After that there are lots of games that would be fun to win, but I'd think less important going forward.

I guess it would be nice to have Big 12 representation in the national championship game. But at the same time, if ISU beat Oklahoma and knocked them out of the playoffs conversation, I can't say I'd feel all that bad about it. It's not as if the conference powers that be are looking after ISU, so why should the Cyclones give a rip about the Sooners making the playoffs? I'd just as soon beat them and ruin their season.

Pretty much echoing the same tune:

1. OU because they're the blue blood (UT is too, but they've been underperforming as of late - see their goose egg against ISU last year)

2. KSU because they've gotten more than their share of breaks in the last decade against ISU.

3. Iowa because their fans are the worst and it's kind of fun wearing ISU gear the week after the game here in Eastern Iowa and watching them see it - and have to relive the 'humiliation' of losing to their 'little brother.'

My neighbors include alumni from Iowa, WVU, and OSU while my wife went to K-State. I'd take any of these but I love beating Iowa and KSU the most. Give me KSU this year after witnessing last year's debacle in Manhattan in person with said wife.

Oklahoma because there will be no other games to talk about for at least 24 hours on national tv

Agree with this. KState first, then Iowa. If we are 4-8 with a fluke upset of OU, that accomplishes very little and likely burns the conference at a time the Big 12 needs national credibility. If we are 6-6 with an upset of OU that burns them, I am all for that.
