He kept driving on the head, to the point of getting better leverage to do it, don't care for that play at all.

For every fan that is giving the "should we play flag football" or "no big deal" would be howling to the moon about this play had it gone against us. Someone would have even taken the time to pull the thing into PhotoShop Elements and put a yellow circle around the facemask.
I do not think the play is nearly as big of a deal as some are making it. Absolutely should have been a penalty. However, I do not think for a second that it was malicious or intentional.

Actually, several people have stated that the same thing happened to Arnaud on his QB sneak at the goal line. Haven't heard a single one of them say any NU players should have been flagged or face suspensions. But hey, you just continue your personal crusade to run down our fans for anything you can think of.

Did anyone see ARob have his head jerked around as he left the line of scrimmage on a third down pass that he caught, but short of the first down in the first half? I couldn't believe he caught the pass. Lots of facemask penalties were missed. Kleins was not good and in the heat of the moment does anyone actually think he realized what he had ahold of at first? Yes it should have been a penalty, but other penalties were also missed. It was a good thing there was play review again this year as the reviews went out way again.

guess what.....who cares. Game is over. There were plenty more cheap shots that we could talk about. Gomes throwing a roundhouse in AA's grill was the most flagrant personal foul of the game. It didn't get called. Move on. It is football.

This exactly. The kid was clawing, scratching and grabbing anything he could to keep burkhead out of the endzone. That is it.
I'm going to disagree. Both of the Nebraska players had enough time to see the action and come over and push AJ off and he was still going to town. If AJ was a Husker, we're doing online polls and boycotting AK-47 tattoos.
I'm with the crowd that says it was an aggressive football play. I dont have my sound on so I cant tell when the whistle blows, but it looks like there's a point when AJ just stops. So to me, it looks like hes playing to the whistle.
So, do you think AJ should have been punished beyond a 15 yard penalty?
From watching the youtube clip, I think the sound is off or something. Because the whistle blows before the RB actually gets into the endzone.
It's called playing hard. Stuff like that happens on the O/D-line every play. Combine that with the goal line and S**T gets real.
On a side note, when have we ever had an opportunity to complain about a defender being too aggressive? I'll take a yanked face mask over laying up on a tackle any day.
