I don't think Brock's an NFL QB but then again I never thought Sage would be one. His stats weren't great.
Sage was of the desired prototype physically for the NFL at that time.

I think Brock has less chance than Sage ended up with. Sage got better through his experience though so maybe Brock does. I recall one year wanting him to get the shot with the Vikes (Cardinal colored glasses perhaps)I don't think Brock's an NFL QB but then again I never thought Sage would be one. Thankful for all Brock has done, but a lot of his criticisms are fair. It’s ok to recognize his accomplishments while also being rightfully critical of some of the gaps. You don’t see QBs of his pedigree making the continuous mistakes that he makes. That is a good tweet.
Very bizarre how people feel the need to choose sides on this. Was Brock put in bad spots by his coaches and a suspect OL? Or did he put himself in a lot of bad spots?
It can be both.
Below is the third tweet in that thread. People keep saying this, and I'm no NFL scout, but I'm just not seeing it.
Won't have to imagine come next yearImagine having a lesser QB with that OL against that defense. He didn’t play his best game. But crapping all over him after all he’s given doesn’t seem right
What’s Brock Purdy’s conference record for home games his entire college career??
Might be well worth a review.
He bailed early a ton. There were lots of times the DEs got driven wide and there was room to climb the pocket but he peeled outside time and again. You thought the oline was pretty good, I didn't, and it made Brock have to move and scramble like crazy.
16-1 fyi.
Now remind me the last time that happened.
Tried to knock it down. Wasn't in the end zone.
Unfortunate play. Essentially the season in a play. I don't blame him.
Nice self-quote reply.
Never Gunner. That has never happened before.
I just looked and wow Colt McCoy is still playing.I could see Brock having a Colt McCoy-esque NFL career.
If Brock had a chance of being drafted I think he played himself out of it tonight. He saw the type of pass pressure that is routine in the NFL and he repeatedly backpedaled instead of stepping up in the pocket, or bailed early and ran to the outside which took away at least 2/3 of the field. Then add the batted ball pick 6 which was as dumb of a play as I’ve seen in the 45 years I’ve been watching college football. Anyone who thinks Brock Purdy is better than Seneca Wallace is just nuts. Brock had much better talent and depth around him on both sides of the ball. Seneca with this year’s team would have been something. Not sure if Brock helped his draft opportunities....![]()
Because hes 2-5 this year. Cant imagine any season other than last looks great either
