Seneca also did not play with 2 NFL RBs, 2 NFL TE''s, 2 NFL wrs....One wr who made a lot of bad throws look good. Also first team all big 12 Offensive linemen and fullback. Also a all Big 12 defense. Not to mention his senior year may have been one of the worse offensive lines in history and defenses were better in Big 12 then as well. I am not bashing Brock at all just wanted to add context to show you can't just go by numbers. If so, every Texas Tech qb since 2000 would be best every in college. Brock was surrounded by way more talent than Seneca. I think the poster who stated once the book was out on Brock he never improved. I never saw him read a defense in the 4 years he played qb here; however he made a lot of plays. I would say he was like Moses. Good enough to get us out of bondage, but not good enough to lead us to promised land. If that makes sense. Forever grateful for his contributions but his turnovers I am sure we're more costly then Senecas.

I disagree, he's the best in my lifetime, which includes Seneca and Rosenfels. People forget how poorly Seneca's senior season ended. He threw 15 TDs to 18 INTs that year. I loved Seneca, but Purdy is at least in the conversation, if not outright the better college QB.

To me the overall tempo of the offense is really bad.

Not like tempo like hurry up or whatever, just rhythm of getting the play in, or knowing the play, getting up to the line and running it. Just never crisp.

It's like they're trying to intentionally slow it down to disrupt the game like when B12 offenses were full time hurry up but it's not needed any more.
I agree, and the number of false starts over the years. It's way to many or at least to many at the wrong times. Still can't believe we had 7 against WSU. What did we have against Clemson? 4?

What Seneca Wallace could have done with this year's offense is a pretty wild thought..

If Tampa wasn't a disaster yesterday then Purdy would've tossed for close to 300 yards. His first half was remarkable. With that massive lead at halftime San Francisco hardly tried to throw in the second half and even let Purdy sit in the 4th quarter. Amazing game and hoping that Purdy dismantles the Seahawks on Thursday night.

The two false starts in a row against Oklahoma in the championship game in 2020 really sting. Then they just stood around for 25 seconds awaiting the play call forcing a hurried snap and the interception on a broken play. That sequence did not set Purdy up for success.

He's looking like he could potentially be a franchise quarterback now. Go Brock!!
