Seneca also did not play with 2 NFL RBs, 2 NFL TE''s, 2 NFL wrs....One wr who made a lot of bad throws look good. Also first team all big 12 Offensive linemen and fullback. Also a all Big 12 defense. Not to mention his senior year may have been one of the worse offensive lines in history and defenses were better in Big 12 then as well. I am not bashing Brock at all just wanted to add context to show you can't just go by numbers. If so, every Texas Tech qb since 2000 would be best every in college. Brock was surrounded by way more talent than Seneca. I think the poster who stated once the book was out on Brock he never improved. I never saw him read a defense in the 4 years he played qb here; however he made a lot of plays. I would say he was like Moses. Good enough to get us out of bondage, but not good enough to lead us to promised land. If that makes sense. Forever grateful for his contributions but his turnovers I am sure we're more costly then Senecas.
I disagree, he's the best in my lifetime, which includes Seneca and Rosenfels. People forget how poorly Seneca's senior season ended. He threw 15 TDs to 18 INTs that year. I loved Seneca, but Purdy is at least in the conversation, if not outright the better college QB.
