Royce having to be babysat and coddled his time at Iowa State was rather embarrassing.

I think McKay had the same sort of treatment and there was something about him being really concerned about who would watch him when Fred left.

Did I say that?
If we don't have any skeletons we might have to go digging

I would still say that wouldn't rise to the level of skeleton in the closet. There are countless football and basketball players being babysat at programs across the country to keep them eligible and out of trouble.

A true embarrassment along those lines would be North Carolina creating fake classes and degree programs for that purpose then getting caught.

I mean I feel like when I was in school most of the wrestlers were babysat to some degree.

True skeletons aren't really skeletons once they're out in public, correct?
I think you could also include the things that have been the subject of rumors, or maybe they've even made it into lower level conversations such as on podcasts and such, but never really gotten any kind of media attention

Idk if anyone has put this name out there but Babu Palo & how everything that transpired was just sad. ISU could have/should have handled every single part of that incident better. Not to mention at the end putting him, the team, and the coach in an awkward and really a no win situation.

I know that there is a section of nuclear waste under part of campus that is encased in concrete. I can't remember which building it's under off the top of my head, but that's some pretty eerie **** that I find rather disturbing.

The remains of the old ISU nuclear reactor are/were out in the old Spangler lab (appears to be gone on Google Maps). The fuel and other really radiologically hot stuff are long gone.

Wait, we can't have our own nuclear waste disaster? That's no fun. What a letdown.

Not really a skeleton, but I remember when John Culbertson fired some shots at a car on campus and then disappeared from the bball team shortly thereafter. Went over to Northern Illinois for a couple seasons and there was a warrant for his arrest in Iowa.

I want to say a lot of it was buried in Pammel Woods right next to the old Spangler lab but then dug back up and sent out to a nuclear waste site in Nevada. I think I'm remembering that correctly from Dr. Burras' Agronomy class.

No it wasn't. He was totally fine when he was at Iowa State. Cam Lard being babysat and still ******* up time after time was more embarrassing. Royce was a leader on that team, Cam was a cancer.

As someone who dealt with Royce off the court on Welch, and college friends with a few of the girls he was stalking on campus, you couldn’t be more wrong. Managers had to babysit every time on Welch and also the countless times he was asked to leave establishments on Welch almost regularly.
