Getting gas takes literally two minutes. Talking about how it takes so long is just as dumb as complaining about taking long trips in an ev when people take like 1 per year.

I am of the opinion if they are below the knee they are no longer shorts - they are capris. So those "cool" guys are wearing denim capris. So cool...
The difference about this topic is that we've all owned/own a gasoline powered car. I've owned 15+ in 40 years of driving, so I can make educated comparisons. Having only owned one BEV (tesla), I can't speak for other manufacturers.
What's the best economical PHEV? Our company needs a commuter vehicle to carry 1-4 adults comfortably. Usually it's under 30 minutes a day of driving, but once a month it'll go 150+ miles.

Model 3,, you can get used ones a couple years old with ~40k miles for under $30k.
When I was looking at phev 3-4 years ago RAV4 prime had about the best electric range for a phev, certainly for one on the larger side.
Yes. I’m allowed to disagree with your take that nobody will want to buy one unless it can charge in under five minutes.
I have to disagree with that because practically everybody around me has one or wants one. We don’t have to agree and it doesn’t have to be right for you. I’ve owned both, it’s clear you’re speaking without much first hand experience though.
I love my Honda Clarity. Enough room for my family of 4, large trunk. 40 miles electric range. They stopped making them. Only 2018-2021 models
I’d wager the time saved charging at home instead of a gas station makes up for whatever extra time is taken on road trips during the year.
When I had a phev I’d only have to gas up about once every 50 days and it became very obvious that going to get gas all the time is a huge pain most people just aren’t aware of. It’s not like I realized it until it was almost gone and rare.
It’s easy to time. Done it a lot. All you have to do is see how many minutes your ETA moves back from when you hit the exit to when you’re back on the interstate. Most of mine were in that 7-10 minutes lost. That was me starting fuel while kids hit the RR, then I go when the first comes out to take the hose out. Most gas pumps are around 9-10 gallons a minute. About 3 minutes to pump the gas with a tag team of 25-26 gallon stopping every 420-460 miles. The 7-10 includes the slowing down and getting up to speed. Most don’t factor that minute or two into the stops.
Jesus, I never said you cannot disagree, nor did I state that no one will buy one if you cannot charge it up in 5 minutes or less. You keep digging this hole, like people are out to get you because you drive an EV. Not true at all. Enjoy driving your EV and I will continue to enjoy driving my hybrid.

I think I read recently where Rivian just bought a controlling stake in it. It's usually my go-to though for figuring out a route.
On a side note when I first heard about it I though the guy was being a ****. I'm all like I know I need a better app for figuring this out. I didn't realize that was the name of it.
