How about beating you almost every year in basketball and every other football game? Does that help strengthen the case?
Athletic success against Iowa on top of more people wanting to attend ISU than Iowa seems like good barometers.
Now go on and tell us how UI is the Ivy League of the Midwest lol!

Iowa leads little bro in the series for both football and MBB by a hefty margin. But if you want to cherry pick select time frames to feel better about yourself have at it.

So if your endowment and research funding are so much higher, why do you need the state to give you a larger portion of the education funding?

You are confusing two different concepts. Research funding is a direct result of the value Iowa generates for its partners. If research partners felt isu was deserving of more funding than Iowa they would do it. Endowments are a result of the post graduate success Iowa's grads have had and their willingness to invest in their alma matter. It appears isu grads either don't have the ability or willingness to do the same. Maybe they are just "tavern clones" and can't afford it.

Now as far as the impact that has on state funding you need to understand that he difference between Quality and Quantity. Quality comes at a cost and it appears that in today's environment the State is willing to pay for Iowa's Quality over isu's quantity. If isu really is big bro as folks like to claim on this site, then isu shouldn't have any trouble changing this dynamic in the state legislature. Yet for some reason that hasn't taken place. Maybe you can educate us as to why that is?

So now a different select time frame makes you feel better? What was Johnny Order 's record against Iowa when he was at isu? Amazing how isu built a statue for someone who had a losing record against big bro.

Because that one game doesn't define a season like it does for Iowa fans

Then why do isu fans only bring up KF's record against isu?

You really suck at this.

Because it doesn't really matter what he does outside of the game against big bro. I don't care if they want to put up a statue of him and I personally don't think his record against ISU should be a reason why they wouldn't do it. I'm sure that'll be the main reason he never gets one though just because it's all Iowa fans care about

This is fun.. You trying desperately to rationalize why it is ok for isu to put up a statute of a coach who has a losing record against big bro.

Because we don't care about Iowa which is obvious. If we did we wouldn't have a statue of him

Replying to a thread that wouldn't exist if isu fans weren't obsessed with big bro Iowa.

A thread which is in response to an article about about Who Iowa State most Resemble's in the Big Ten

You see we actually talk about topics on this board, unlick HN, where they just jerk each other off and scream GO HOKS!

I personally think ISU should be more worried about UNI and Iowa about Miami. The Big Game will sort itself out and then each team has at least what, 10 more games? I have my own personal opinion on the "game" in terms of who places more importance on it and Twins has his opinion. So the "bro" argument is not going to be won by anyone. However, to bring in enrollment to the argument may be the dumbest thing I have ever read. So based on enrollment, off the top of my head, Duke is the little brother to North Carolina by probably 3x, Stanford is the redheaded stepchild to Washington St by what 4x based on enrollment and ND is the little bro to probably every D1 program in Indiana?
