I trust Coach Matt Campbell and Staff to pick the entrance song. It won't be Smoke on the Water. Doubt that it is Pantera.

Some of the suggestions made totally suck. And the ones who actually paid for the Stadium and Expansion probably think they suck as well.

So who cares??? The people who paid for everything. It will definitely be more hip than Smoke on the Water. But i see something more like Linkin Park rather than Pantera.

I think the people that actually PAID for the stadium improvements don't give a rip about entrance music if we win. I'm pretty sure they have some kick *** gear at home to blast REO Speedwagon. They don't donate to hear music... they want to win.

Let the younger crowd pick the song. Let the team pick the song.

This. In just a couple of months Matt Campbell and his staff have proven to be way cooler than any of us. I am confident they will pick something that is perfect.

Some of the suggestions here totally suck. No offense, but what percentage of young people make up our crowd that are in the stadium?

I am just telling you it won't be Pantera. They suck.

Their guitar player is the opposite of suck, regardless of what your taste in music is. Either way, I don't think Pantera would be the right choice. Anything anywhere near Jock Jams would be comically sad.

I'm fine with it not being Pantera or RATM. No offense taken. (Pantera does not suck - but that is a different discussion).

My point was that the people that are DONATING to the football program are not coming to Jack Trice to hear their favorite songs. You implied that.

Do you think for a second that the Sukup's would stop donating if Coach decides he would rather have the team come out to a song they don't like?

Lead singer completely sucks. He just screams.

Instrumental from Pantera is fine until that lead singer opens his mouth. i would rather listen to hip hop or rap than him.

The suggestion of Linkin Park-----Bleed It Out is probably a little more likely. That has a good beat and instrumental. And is upbeat enough to rally a crowd. I could see something like that.

I could also see this classic from a pretty famous championship dynasty.

There are tons of talented musicians, composers, and GarageBand aficionados out there. Why not have a competition to create a song just for Iowa State?
