Hmmm... Either you all are sheltered or you haven't been paying attention to too many other CFB games outside of the Big 12. Lot worse things have occurred and SEC is like this day in and out. BUT! Let me be crystal clear, I DO NOT condone the immature behavior of some of our players or ANY player for that matter. You let your play on the field do the talking and acting out for you, if you are THAT good. However, what you witnessed is much tamer than what we as WVU fans have been on the receiving end of ourselves. Let’s introduce our Cyclone fans to some of what we have had to deal with concerning old rivals we no longer play. One being Virginia Tech that we played for several years as old indies and former Big East conference mates. This footage was during their inital years in the ACC. Take a trip down memory lane via YouTube and tell me if the behavior of Marcus Vick (The younger brother of Philadelphia Eagles QB, Michael Vick) when he was at Virginia Tech was all “rosesâ€￾ when they played their final game against WVU in 2005. Let's flip off the WVU crowd, lets elbow a former WVU asst coach (he is in a white jersey with #5 on it. You have to watch it closely to see he was blatant about it) and let's toss a ball at the facemask of a WVU player. Former VT QB Marcus Vick on Wikipedia Marcus Vick - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I am surprised you all have less than kind words to say about one of your own native Iowan’s (Dana Holgorsen), unless he’s dead to many of you. Probably be worse if he ever gets a coaching job at Iowa should he want to return to his home state. Things could be much worse than this and it happens much more than you think it does across the CFB landscape. If you think this was bad, then you would have a heart attack if you all ever played SEC teams on a regular basis. That was nothing compared to what players in that conference do EVERY game. Ideally, I wish it would never happen at all if it were up to me. Beginning to wonder if you all got a taste of what is common place in the eastern part of the country where these kinds of attitudes/beahvior are not well liked in the midwest. Sadly they are commonplace out east and in the southeast US.

Why should we be all warm and fuzzy about Dana? Just because he's from Iowa?

K0WVM - The lack of sportsmanship you have absorbed in the past does not come into play here. Also, I don't care who you are you should never lower your standards just because everyone else is doing it.

I hated what Geno Smith and what he did at halftime and even before he came out. Funny thing is that he was a Heisman candidate and fell off the face of the planet 5 weeks into the season. Had a buddy who is a big Chiefs fan who said he wanted nothing to do with him as a QB. Looked really bad yesterday. However, I stayed til everyone was off the field and after the Geno's interview he went over to Josh Lenz, Bueker, and a couple of other guys and shook their hands.

Nice job talking **** about fans of your own team clonzrule..

but he's a PREMIUM subscriber of an inferior board. SUBSCRIBER!!!

Yes, there are a lot of college-aged posters here (good) however; if you look at some of the most active contributors (not post count...actual discussion) I'd bet they are much more "seasoned" fans.

They do know that this is the internet, right?

One person saying something stupid isn't representative of an entire fan base.

Plus, while CF isnt perfect, its not like there isnt a good supply of ********* posters on CR.... the lack of new blood on that board has caused it to often be the same few people bickering with each other. Or shouting down anyone who isnt sunshine and rainbows. Many have left that board for those and other reasons, and anyone like him who posts there should know it.

FWIW- I probably have an idealized sense of Iowans and our good sportsmanship. Many (most?) of our players are not from Iowa I know, but I'd be embarrassed for ISU if our players were doing that sort of thing. Maybe they do and I just don't see it. Youngsters, it doesn't matter how good you think you are at football, you don't have license to act like a *******. Thanks to the team and coaches for your hard work and dedication this year. Win or lose, I trust you'll represent all of us Cyclones with class in the bowl game.

I think a lot of people on here are not being honest about how much our players jaw on defense, especially after letting up a first down. I'm always shocked to see one guy in particular hooting and hollering after making a tackle 10+ yards down field.

This is Jeremiah George to a T! Pisses me off how much he does this and jaw/celebrating making a tackle after blowing two or three.

I don't mind the jabbing and jawing. Whatever it's football and who cares. However when you trash the fans and act like d-bag before halftime (Which might have been our guys too. They need to fix that whole crossing over ********). Geno Smith came out looking like a **** and he remained a ****, before I saw what he did at the end of the game. Of course I knew his cockiness was coming after I saw him at the Texas game.
