    Help please! Has anyone seen or heard of any sweet corn stands in the Ames/Nevada area?     Front plates?

    Is it or is it not illegal to not display your DOT issued license plate on the front of your car? I've heard it both ways, from different law enforcement officers. If it is indeed illegal, the state could make a ton on revenue from ticketing about every fifth vehicle on the road.
