It’s what happens all the time. Wait until Tuesday and the schools return what they can’t sell and if it’s not a bunch of local schools then you have a flood of tickets.

Des Moines did not get a good draw outside of Kansas. Nothing even close to local teams.
$20 to sit in 300 sections. If you are sitting up there you should just stay home and watch on tv
The 300 sections on the sides are fine. Behind the basket I would rather sit in the 200 or 300 section than the 100 section. Those seats are terrible.
Even back when Des Moines hosted Kentucky, Kansas, and Indiana the first two sessions were cheap to get in to. The thing to remember is that the fans of a lot higher seeds are saving their money for the sweet 16, elite 8, or final 4.
Id take sec 103 or 104 over 200 and 300 everyday. you get up in the 300s you feel like you could fall out of your seat cause you are slanted forward so much
