Falcons hired a guy with a career record of 21-38 over a guy who has been to 9 Super Bowls? That's an interesting development.

He's also 71, and hasn't exactly lit the world on fire since the best quarterback of all time has no longer been on the team. His drafting is pretty suspect, anymore, and has really slipped when it comes to his ability to field a competent offense. His last few years in New England can't inspire a lot of confidence, and sure seem to indicate that his best days are well in the past.

He'd have to cede GM control. I think he's said he'd be OK with that but we all know his personality.

Sounds like they interviewed Vrabel and Harbaugh also. We'll see how that works out for them.
My read on the local sports fans has them already pretty apathetic about the Falcons, and this move has only confirmed that they shouldn't care. NFL takes a distant backseat down here to UGA and the Braves.

You try winning games with Mac Jones or whatever a Bailey Zappe is!

Yeah, it's pretty obvious his best days are behind him.

Usually coaches that are 21-38 already don't get another chance and it's even more rare to turn that kind of record around.

A guy who hasn’t done anything of note without Tom Brady. Since Brady left, the Patriots have been really bad. Bill B. is the man Tom Brady made. Pretty much everyone on his coaching have been failures, which puts even more stock on being made by Brady.

I don't understand why these NFL teams just hire recycled guys who have failed as a head coach before.

Maybe Morris will be different this time but teams seem to always do this stuff.
