You may think it's dumb, but its true. You ever notice that in the Olympics, that they have an outside individual review the call in question, not the ref making the call.
Good riddance. ISU athletics right now is as good as it's ever been. Not the best basketball, football, wrestling teams we've had but overall name a better stretch. 99-02 was elite basketball and the turnaround for football. 10-15 was good basketball and started with good football. We have an AD who spends those dollars smartly, unlike BVDV.

Not really. They called 13. Of all things to point out, I don’t think that’s one. It maybe would have changed one match.
Reffing in this sport is a joke. Because it’s not on the same level as football and basketball that conference don’t have their own refs, so it’s on the school. Which gives homer refs. WE NEVER seem to get that. Maybe because we hire honest refs unlike Mizzou. But maybe they’re too honest, it hurts us. With a homer refs this dual, we win comfortably
I think they screwed that up.
You can see the supporting official tapping the main referee and nothing is or was out of bounds. I doubt it makes a difference, but still scratching my head on that whistle.
My biggest takeaways:
1. We need somebody else at 97. I’ve watched that mediocrity far too long.

They interviewed after the match. The staff didn’t realize riding time was locked in.
Great to see all of the usual fb and bb trolls get their shots in!
To say we were outclassed is a joke. Flip any one of the three knucklehead matches (125, 184, 197) or any one of the two screw job matches (141, 174) and we win.
It took iowa wrestling defensive and getting a little help to steal the win.

Gaitan scores takedown with little time left but he's still behind by one point (14-13). So he might have cut Kennedy and tried for another TD but apparently ISU coaches were telling him to ride out thinking it would be a tie.

I don’t think anyone is saying we got outclassed. I’ve seen outcoached, which is warranted. Iowa’s change at 74&84 is what ultimately won them the dual. Same thing as last year, so close just a match away.
Ech was clearly gassed after that flurry at the end (which looked like a missed takedown). Coach should have challenged which may have gotten the call or if not at least Ech gets his breath back before OT. Coaches just sat there watching like a fan.
