There was one episode where they described it as being in the 51st state. I haven't watched a new episode since season 10 (so about 10 years) so maybe that's changed now.

4 of us are driving back from chicago to west des moines right now, we're probably gonna be able to make it as far as davenport since eastern iowa is getting worse. We stayed at the same hotel as the team last night, but it'd probably be hard for them to risk coming home and then to have to try to find rooms somewhere along the way if they had to stop
