Praying hard that about 5 minutes after tonight's game, someone will start the "Uconn matchup" thread.
It's the "feels like" clock.Another 3 and a half days? Dang
It's Iowa State, what you hope for is irrelevant. We all know the answer already.Haven't seen anything but just hoping it's not the ones from the Houston game the other night

as much as everyone wants to think we have all these matchup problems, they have real issues matching up with our guards
I can see ISU taking a while to loosen things up like WSU.
Hopefully they don't get in a hole like that game since it would be harder to claw out of it.
I read that earlier. Bilas is such an arrogant prick.Jay Bilas: Ranking the Sweet 16 ... Take notes -- test this Thursday and Friday
The Sweet 16 was set on Sunday. In a few days we'll know the Final Four. The Bilastrator lets you peek into his mind ... you're welcome.www.espn.com
Bilas has us as the only 2 seed outside his top 8. Who bumps us in his mind? The Illini.
I doubt Gilbert is Shannon a lot just to protect him from foul trouble.

Fair. However I think people are reading too much into turnovers. For example, Illinois had 17!!! TO @ Rutgers and still won by 18 and put up 76. Rutgers obviously isn’t near ISU’s level, but against Tennessee they only had 9 and put up 79. I think this game comes down to Iowa State’s offense more than their defense to be quite honest. If you can score consistently I think y’all win this game. (Probably will need to hit at least 75)
My apologies, my post wasn't very clear. #1 would be a team that turns the ball over the least, so #72 indicates Illinois doesn't take care of the ball that well. Combined with Iowa State being one of the top teams in causing turnovers, I like our chances. One also has to take into context who they've played in that.
Most of the big 10 is in the bottom half (if not bottom third) at turning other teams over .
When they played teams that were top 25 in TO%, they turned it over well above their average rate. So i think there's evidence they're vulnerable to that. Fortunately for Illinois, the teams that were the best at turning the ball over in conference were towards the worse end overall
Bilas is really good at this. Here's what he did in 2023:
Elite 8 was his 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 14, and 16. Final 4 was 3, 12, 14, and 16.
Yep game got pushed back due to 85OT game in the opener.Another 3 and a half days? Dang
