Should have knocked out a couple of teams for Colorado State and Creighton to go with UTEP and the Cyclones. Just don't knock out the Final Four team.

Iowa St probably the 3 seed here. Play one of WMU, UTEP, or Tulsa first round. Then hopefully Florida St is the 1, so Iowa St would play USC second round. Playing a Frank Martin defense wouldn't be easy for a young team, but neither would facing tall, long, freak athletes of Florida St.

I'd rather face FSU. Frank Martin is 10X the coach Hamilton is; plus that style gives us trouble.

Sounds like Tulsa's event to lose.

Do you think this works better than challenging the young guys? I could see positives from both sides. Michigan state and some others seem to have a lot of success really changing their players early on. Of course something less challenging could be good to build confidence in the new players.

Would you actually like to ask MSU fans how that worked out for their team this year?

Arizona L 65-63
Kentucky L 69-48
Baylor L 73-58
Duke L 78-69

While Izzo is still a god around here, he was openly criticized all year for scheduling such a difficult pre-conference season for such a young team. It really didn't prepare them for a Big 10 Conference schedule they'd struggle to get through as well, and was a major contributor to their overall 19-14 record. Also keep in mind this is close to top tier talent Izzo brings in.

This year was an anomaly for Izzo. They had so many injuries to deal with and were already fairly young. To be fair, it still worked because they made the tournament and will be even better next year. Not to mention the marketing their program gets in the nonconference playing in big time tournaments and elite teams.

I just got back from Puerto Rico. I love it there. I know my wife wouldn't be opposed to going.

Rumors that Illinois State's best returning player MiKyle McIntosh may take a grad transfer and leave. They were going to be way down anyway, but that is just a killer if it happens.

Not if it's a direct flight.
what if the connection is in a US hub? like most connecting flights will be? LOL. Just teasing. But the truth is if your connection is at an airport outside of US (maybe you fly COPA and connect in Panama) you may not need a passport if you just connected. Passport and immigration control is when you exit so you may not need one as you are technically not in the country. Check with the airline to make sure.

Just got back from there also temp was around 80-87. Brush up on your NASCAR driving, you are going to need it. Rent a Jeep if you are going to do any sight seeing. Roads are horrible. We drove around the whole island. Iguanas are everywhere!! Saw more roadkill of these than raccoons or deer here in Iowa. Did stay at a hotel west of San Juan. Complimentary drinks for 2 hours!! Top shelf liquor!!

When will the official dates and teams be listed? I think I might plan a family reunion in San Juan.
