I do love that the two best wrestlers and 2 best coaches of all time are both Cyclones
Steveson is such an incredible athlete. So fun to watch.
He needs to associate himself with better coaching role models, imo.
Some general numbers:
*Since 2009, 50 points is usually enough for a top-10 finish.
*Among this year's top 20, only ISU and Stanford had <10 total advancement points -- these are the "hidden" points by guys who don't AA.
*ISU had more placement points than ORST, WISC, and OKST, but the lack of advancement points was costly.
*Every team in the top 8 had at least 3 AA, including at least 1 finalist.
*PSU would have finished 2nd just from their placement points alone (89).

Dresser just said they got a verbal from a California kid at the post tournament social 
God I hope that happens. Would've preferred he did it at ISU, but to knock off Gable would be a significant blow to a lot of Hawkeye wrestling fans' egos.

Not sure other than this class is going to be really really good. Possibly the class that changes the trajectory of Iowa state wrestling from being a top 20 program to being a top 5 program again. I’m excited for next year
