I think Sampson has probably pitched himself out of the rotation and will be headed to Iowa to start the season. Wesneski has just looked too good and Sampson has not so far in spring training. Sampson Assad and Killian getting work in Iowa going to give some good depth options when the envitable injury happens and hopefully Hendricks can get healthy and show enough to eventually get back into the mix too.

Wesneski has upside I think he will be good for years to come. That slider is ridiculous

He's been impressive late last year when he got called up and probably been their best pitcher in the spring too. He may be the #5 starter but I bet he will be the number 2 or 3 guy by end of season. Even Stroman was talking about how he has been getting tips from his on his slider which if you've seen Wesneski's slider it is just filthy.

Will be interesting to see how the opening day roster shakes out with the position players and bullpen.
