Why has he "earned" an invite? Only 5 players get invited every year. And unless something significant happens over the next couple of weeks, those 5 players are most likely going to consist of 3 Big XII QBs: Bradford (OU), McCoy (UT), Harrell (TT), arguably the best WR that played in this decade in Crabtree (TT), and the defending winner in Tebow.
It's just amazing what these guys have done when you look at the stats:
QB rating: 2. Bradford (196.32), 4. McCoy (177.60), 7. Harrell (169.18)
Passing yards: 1. Harrell (4077), 5. Bradford (3406), 9. McCoy (3134)
Actually, Chase Daniel should be in this discussion as well, as he compares very well with the other 3 Big XII QBs (#5 in QB rating, #3 in passing yards).
Here's the thing, if you want Greene to be considered for Heisman, why shouldn't you consider Javon Ringer from Michigan St as well? Their stats are pretty similar, PLUS MSU beat Iowa earlier this year:
NAME
CAR | YDS | YPC | LONG | TD

Shonn Greene, Iowa 256 | 1585 | 6.275 | 15
2.
