Hmmm.... thought Messingham did well where he was at.

Without researching, where did Wells come from?

Also when is the spring practice press conference? Hoping to hear about Lattimer.

Seems to me this means one of them wasn't doing their job well (assume Wells) and should be released instead of just moving. Obviously I have no clue what it really means so will trust the coaches.

yea, hate to read too much into this, but if this is the case, I would agree. If WR coaching wasn't cutting it, then get a new WR coach, don't reshuffle staff to give someone another chance. Not as if quality position coaches are not available.

I reported this coaching change a few days ago. Wells started as a GA at Oklahoma then was TE and WR coach at Louisiana Monroe.

I hope Rhoads isn't the type of guy that is afraid to cut people loose that don't perform.

I agree Wells needed to be removed from Wide Receiver. Although I thought that Wells should be fired last fall already, sometimes people might seem like a failure in one area only to thrive in a similar area. Maybe Wells will do well at Tight end, or maybe this is a last chance to prove himself. I'm glad to see that Rhoads is making a change at wide receiver.

Coach Messingham is the lead recruiter for Dvario Montgomery (WR from Winter Park, Florida). Hope this coaching change helps with that recruitment.

I think this is a great move. Something needed to change for our WRs. Messingham has done an excellent job with the TE's and I hope he can do the same with the WR. I just hope Wells can keep it going as the TE coach.

you could just say "I hope Rhoads isn't McCarney"

Dan was a great coach/person and almost to a fault. he wouldn't get rid of people who weren't cutting it so I definitely agree. I hope Rhoads keeps the guys that help us win and cut ties with those that aren't.
