This kid is legen.. wait for it... Epic! No wait that's not what he says!

Either way he'd make a great contribution to Cyclone Nation.. reel him in Freddy! Maybe let CPR talk to him as well, just to get the feel of how Iowa State is the place for him!

Am I the only one not worried about Royce leaving after 1 year? I think the odds are better than 50-50 that he stays. Unless he and Fred are hearing things no one else is I haven't seen him even show up or mentioned in mock drafts that I have read. I feel that Royce has a lot of work to do with his offensive game as well as some better defense to be a more complete player. Right now he's mostly a great rebounder and tremendous passer and ball handler for a guy his size but he's been terrible inconsistent scoring and his defense has a lot of room to improve. I think those 2 things alone is good reason for him to develop another year in college.

If we get Pelle to commit, I'm going to be scared out of my mind. IMO if Pelle commits, then it's a good possibility that Royce is leaving....

Or Railey.

I just left a comment on Cyclone Alley's website asking them (or telling them nicely) that some signs and a chant need to be organized to try and pull this guy in.
They usually respond to comments on their site. But I still think it'd be best of some rogue students made some signs for him. This could be a gigantic get!

They could bring life size cutouts of Pelle and put them in all the empty CA seats to fill it up! :wideeyed:

It think Royce would be better served not being so bulky and trying to play the 3 because he is not an NBA power forward, there is no way he would be able to guard the power forwards in the NBA. I believe he was listed as a small forward coming out of high school and that is where he really should be, which means that he needs to develop a jump shot as well. The only reason I could see him leaving is that he could leave and get paid to play somewhere while developing his game, either in the Dleague or over seas and that way he could support his family better.

I'm not worried in the least. If he leaves it will be a big mistake and he and Freddy are sharp enough to know it. He would be easy to guard in the NBA right now. Who would he guard?

This sounds like a Royce replacement, unfortunately. :)

But.....it would lesson the sting a bit if that was who we replaced him with.

After being an understudy for at least one year. There is this thing called development...........

Royce can't shoot as well as most power forwards in the NBA or some centers for that matter and would not be able to stick with the 3s of NBA
