Ha, right. Because Wisconsin, Ohio St., Michigan, Nebraska, Northwestern, Michigan St. would be terrified of ISU. Iowa already handled you, and we're mediocre at best.

Have you seen the Big 12? With Iowa's schedule you'd maybe have 2 conference wins, tops.

You just named all of the reasons I said a week ago that Iowa would finish the season with 4 wins.

After watching the season develop since then, I'm ready to reconsider that pick upwards a game or two.

Kind of OT but why are our non-con games already set through 2020? Seems like most schools wait until a year before or two to schedule there non-con games?

Seriously, have you seen their schedule? The toughest teams they play will be Maryland, Wisconsin, and Nebraska (and Iowa Sate depending on how our team progresses.)

OK, so there's four loses right there..........

We HAVE to get a weaker non conference schedule IMO. Look at a team like Minny, they are 4-0 before they even have to play anyone. They really aren't that good, but have a decent chance at going to a bowl game because they play 4 patsies. Of course, none of this matters if you can't even beat teams like UNI though.

As far as Iowa is concerned, they are actually halfway decent. And they are halfway decent because of one thing.... they can run the ball and they can stop the run. If you can do that, you are going to win games.

But I'm still not sold on Iowa to win 7 games yet. This Minny game fit right into their hands. Minny can't do anything except run the ball. They are so one dimensional it's ridiculous. And Iowa is really good at stuffing the run. So once Iowa stuffed their run, it was game over. It was a great matchup for Iowa.

We'll probably get shoveled off the field in Columbus. I think we'll definitely lose again at Nebby. But I think we may have a chance against Wisco, NW, Michigan, MSU at home. Michigan doesn't look to be as good as expected, and Wisco plays into our strength of stopping the run. We can get two of those. Throw in a coin toss of a game @Purdue, we typically blow one like that every year, and it's looking like 6 or 7 wins. I'd be thrilled with 7 wins and a decent bowl with this team.

Having been born in Minnesota i would love to play the Gopher, They can be as bad as Fuskers when it comes to living in the past. I would love to see the look on their face when we would beat them.

Yes, let's base making our football program's success on how Minnesota does it. The non conference was actually pretty soft this year, UNI should be a win most times, Tulsa is bad, and Iowa is a game that should be played every year. So the schedule sets up for what SHOULD have been a 2-1 at worst record.

Is the 48 year old still here acting like a tool? Just checking. By the way, NIT says high. Central Michigan says high

*yawn*

Do you really want to compare the Iowa vs ISU football program's history. I didn't think so.
