I wonder why the refs that were trying to win the game for Kansas called a foul on Embiid with 15 seconds to go that could have easily been a non-call and gave Tech the lead? Seems like an odd strategy.

I've heard this goes all the way to Obama!

Cha dunk plunk.

The good news is KU will fold like a cheap wallet in the tourney because they are mentally soft, get intimidated by equally sized tourney teams, and are mentally soft ... Not to mention how non Big XII officials won't favor the golden squawks.

The point being, worry about what the players do on the floor. If they do their job then there is no game changing call that can be made that can hurt you.

That is the most idiotic thing anyone can honestly say. How can you explain this:

Phantom Three at the Phog - YouTube

That's a prime example of referees blowing Kansas and screwing us. Granted we were terrible then and you guys still won, but that is a game changing call that changed the game. Last years game is another prime example. Just because the refs are too busy strapping on their knee pads and blowing Self doesn't mean your comment makes any sense or has any validity. The day a call goes against he Jayhawks, you're going to be crying wolf. In response to your comment about Kansas running a fast tempo game so they get the calls: Iowa State runs a quicker tempo game than Kansas does, so that makes your comment as usefully as a poopy flavored lollipop. Get out of here you troll.

If a Hawkeye or one of our own talked this much trash and trolled this much he'd have been banned 20 times already.

He is the same idiot that posted a picture of Fred's kid crying to mock ISU fans and later claimed he didn't know it was Fred's kid. The guy is trash, no sense arguing with him.

I guess that 6 point win over Tech in Hilton is looking pretty damn good to a lot of ISU fans that were concerned that the Clones didn't blow them out. Tech, while not overly talented has been playing some really good basketball lately. They beat Baylor, beat TCU, lost a close one at WVU, lost a reasonable game with OU, played K-State tough on the road, beat TCU again, beat Okie Light w/Smart, beat up on OU in Norman, had the lead on ISU with 3 minutes to play in Hilton and lost, and should have beat Kansas last night.

I don't know what Tubby said to that team but they are bringing it every night now. Hopefully Tech can help ISU by knocking off K-State and Texas down the stretch because they get them both in Lubbock.

I love insane fans. Isu has 15 more ft than ku at Hilton, refs favored ku, can't look at ft's. Ku has more ft's than TT, refs favored ku, look at the ft's. It's not how many, it's when. Except when they called that foul on embiid at the end, can't explain that one but don't pay attention to that, everybody look at the jump ball, that was the bad call!!! See bias refs!!!

Hell yeah I'm going to bring this up when supporting the claim KU always gets BS calls. How do you start play in between a 2 free throw shot foul? Once again supporting my claim, KU fans turn the cold shoulder and act like it never even happened. Maybe if you guys weren't so pampered by the refs, you'd be more prepared for the tournament and not have an early exit like you guys always do.
We don't ACT like it never happened; I just had zero recollection of that happening. Again, it was TEN years ago. What did you have for dinner that night? Don't remember? Upon seeing the video, I clearly agree with you that it was a terrible call, just like a zillion other terrible calls in ncaa basketball since the origin of the sport. And yes, Kansas fans are bummed that they "only" have five trips past the Sweet Sixteen, two Final Fours and a national title in Self's ten years. He is clearly underachieving. But hey, we're pampered Kansas fans.

"Claimed"? How on earth would I know that was Hoiberg's kid? The only reason why I know what Kansas coach's kid looks like is because he plays for the Kansas basketball team. Now I have to keep track of the children of opposing coaches as well so as to not offend? Good grief. I think you're trying a bit too hard.

Let's try that again... I 100% agree. Tech played some great defense last night against Kansas and they have some excellent offensive players in both Tolbert and Crockett. Their big 7 footer also had an excellent night offensively. They grind the pace of the game down to a crawl which was clearly frustrating for the young Kansas players last night. It looked like it lulled Tharpe's brain into a coma and completely befuddled Perry Ellis, who was worthless. He got whipped time and time again on late shot clock switches and never shook off the fog at the offensive end. I haven't seen him play that bad in a while. Hats off to Tech for hitting so many clutch shots at the end of shot clocks. Most teams that try that don't end the possession getting good looks but Tech did. Even when they didn't they still seemed to hit tough shots on bad looks. They were pretty impressive.

Iowa State runs the quickest tempo in the conference and they get a lot of calls and no calls. Only TCU has had fewer fouls called on them in Big 12 play than Iowa State and that is mostly because TCU is so far out of games that they don't have to bother to foul in late game situations.

Even if we assume he didn't know that was Hoiberg's kid, his future actions tell us all we need to know. He posted this, in response to another poster.

How many equally sized teams are there in the tourney? Not many and some of them are Big 12 teams that we wouldn't meet until deep in the tourney. If Tharpe can keep his head removed from his back end (noe asy task based on his recent play) and Kansas can play defense with some intensity, they'll be playing in the 2nd weekend of the tourney just fine. With all these young players, that's really all I hope for. Anything more than the Sweet Sixteen is a cherry on top.
