I wanna hear from isufbcurt and thecaptain... what the hell is going on behind closed doors?
You will just hear, "oh everything is great. Jacob Gannon just wanted to focus on education because well this is his last semester and he is probably taking all of his hard classes now. Program is in great shape, couldn't be better."

Rumor on one of the pay boards that the players "hate Rhoads" and one of the players that left (I assume Jensen) had to be begged to come back. Said he talks them up in front of the camera but belittles them off camera. Take it for what it's worth.
Please don't post this. You have no idea, taking another post from another board is not a good source.

It's possible he just got burnt out. For those of us who have gotten burned before, whether it's a sport or a job you eventually reach a point where you can't do it anymore. Possible this has nothing to do with Rhoads, the staff, or any of his teammates.

Can he at least make the decision prior to fall camp so it's not a Keystone cops situation trying to get people ready and develop the chemistry that the OL needs? Think of all those reps that Campos or whoever could have taken to be ready to play. I understand not having the passion for it after fours worth of very hard work and a long string of beat downs last year.

He needs to go look Brandon Jensen in the face and tell him. That guy came back to help guys like Gannon. My lord, what is going on in this program?

You do realize Curt and The Captain gain nothing from saying things that aren't true. They want the program to succeed probably more than a lot of the people on here do, so if they are saying that things are going okay, it probably means that they think things are going okay.

How about everyone easing off the speculation and ******** and getting behind Campos. He's worked his *** off in the weight room and is a really tough and talented football player. He wants to be here and to play for these coaches. Let's show him some support.

On a completely smaller scale, I can vividly remember being burnt out of basketball by my senior year of high school. I'd played my whole life, and was a pretty good basketball player on a decent team. We got a new coach my senior year who was a monumental *** hole and put the focus on playing younger guys, and about half way through the year I was ready to say I was done with it. We weren't going to be state champs, or conference champs for that matter, I wasn't going to play in college, and to be honest I was sick of going to practice and slaving away for really no benefit.

I get there weren't scholarships at play, and you can't compare high school and college sports, but I can see how this happens.

On the road...
Ok this is what I got from his cousin who contacted their grandmother and her dad(who is a Hawk legend with the same last name) He has one class left this semester and was contemplating all summer long if he was going to come back at all. He truly is burnt out and is "dying to be a normal person, lose some weight and start working." He is a really smart kid and it sucks that he just up and quit the team but it's better than him being out there and not caring.

Regarding last nights practice, the coaches(was told "new defensive coordinator" so take that one with a grain of salt) were going off on the defense and I guess Jacob got tired of it and just walked off the field. She said it was the straw that broke the camels back.

I have been around program at practice and know guys that played for rhoads. The talk about him badmouthing players is not accurate. DOesn't happen. This guy fights for his guys. In public and private. There may be other things players don't like about him but that's not it

This is one of the dumbest things ever posted on the internet.

I am going to go ahead and assume you don't even begin to comprehend the difficulty of getting through a difficult major like computer science while also playing football at a Division I level. Why would you make life any harder than it needs to be when you could very well just get a communications/general studies/liberal arts degree and sleep through college and have no distractions with football.
