Really? People here aren't moving jobs that pays x2 what they're currently making for effectively the same job?
I'm not sure what your point is.

then stop comparing him to a cheating spouse.
@TravisHines21: Seems to be quite a bit of concern about how the Hoiberg & NBA rumors are “hurting recruiting†for ISU. Let’s explore http://t.co/1swVlAdRDc
It was an analogy based on how some will feel if Hoiberg bails on ISU... as simple as that. Don't take things so seriously.
this does not square with your previous post stating you hope his will fail and comparing him to a cheating spouse.
it was a bad analogy and it should be called out as a bad analogy.

I'll make sure to let you know when you don't make a spot on perfect analogy. It will be easy because non of them are perfect, that's why they're an analogy, not the same exact scenario.
His article seems to indicate Fred had aspirations to move on after this year or next year to the pros. I do not see much to indicate that he was waiting for his boys to graduate from high school. This article makes me think his whole intent was to be a pro coach after all.
The WRNL hatchet job could have waited until something happened, if indeed it does happen.
So you agree that a coach leaving a program is just like a spouse cheating on you? You are seriously going to defend that ********?
I definitely won't meltdown because Fred left, but the frustrating thing for me is that Fred used ISU as a stepping stone job.
Now I may meltdown depending on who we hire as the new coach.
In the spirit of looking forward, I am all of sudden interested in the Chicago vs Phoenix games next year.
I think a lot of the people taking offense to the WRNL article are people who think Fred Hoiberg is untouchable.
Fred Hoiberg is not untouchable.
The part that I would be most upset about if he leaves isn't the fact that he left. It is the things he has said that have made it sound like ISU is the place he wants to be for a long time and the goals he wanted to achieve while at ISU. I guess I have always thought Fred was a guy you could take at his word. He is no better than any other of the coaches. That and the idea that if you cannot keep him in Ames, who can you keep.
