Some thoughts:

Wiggins and Towns will leave Minnesota before they ever sniff a title.

Tyus Jones is overrated on this board but not by the NBA. I'd rather have Wright, Grant, Payne, or Rozier and they were all picked first.

Bobby Portis was a great pick, the only other player I'd've been happy with the Bulls taking at that point was Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.

Aaron White goes to the Wizards. Cue the Hok trolls to come over here to brag about having the better program.

That was the name of one of my calculus teachers when I attended ISU.

I feel like Aaron White was picked out of a bet or something between the GM and Assistant GM. I imagine it going down something like this:

"Hey, bet you don't draft some random white guy in the middle of Iowa......" - Assistant GM

"How about this Aaron White guy! Even his name has White in it!" - GM

"You don't have the balls" - Assistant GM

"And with your 49th pick....Wizard choose Aaron White" - Adam Silver

God the more I read about Bobby Portis the more I like that pick for the bulls. Super talented, but also a great attitude and plays with intensity. Think he will end up being a great player for them a few years. Should thrive under Fred.

You say this as if they will become stars but leave Minnesota before minnesota can sniff a title. That would be pretty tough to do. Rookies that become stars are generally with their original team for atleast 6 or 7 years since they can make so much more money in second contract with their original team. You sound like you dislike Minnesota but they absolutely will be in the conversations to make it out of the West if both of those players live up to their promise.

Okay, I do stand corrected after checking stats. He just seem more polished in his offensive game than White.

Good reply, Holmes is actually someone who should have been much better in his college career. He was hampered by bad coaching and a ball hog of a guard (Taylor). Neither White nor Holmes will have a long (if any) NBA career. White is a terrific garbage man but his game is more suited for a nice career overseas. You never know he might just carve out a spot in the NBA.

Aaron white will never actually play in the NBA. Too small to play the 4 and can't dribble or shoot it well enough to play the three. He is long and athletic which is enough thor a team to draft him and throw him in the d league and see what happens. The second round has pretty much become a joke in the NBA.

You make some legitimate points and of the two I think Wiggins would be more likely to stay, which would make it more likely for Towns to stay. I also see how it could be inferred that I dislike Minnesota. But what I think will happen is that they will make some noise but it will be more statistical rather than gaining major ground in the playoffs and then they will leave Minnesota for solid (if not the absolute max they could make in Minnesota) money, better exposure and commercial contracts, and a chance to take a step up in playoff contention. It's probably more of an indictment of my faith in the Minnesota organization than anything else. It's also be more interesting for the general public if they left. Change is exciting.

Interesting to hear from Bilas that Cliff Alexander bad-mouthed Kansas on his way out. I wonder why. Anyway, good riddance to him if the reports are true.

I do remember that when he came out with the details of the benefits he basically threw his mother under the bus & blamed it all on her. Definitely some character issues with him.
