If Sam finishes the year with 55 TD and over 7,000 yards like projected, but if Beathard throws 15 TD and Iowa ends the year 9-3, I'll take the W's over the yards. Cut and dry.

Jesus ******* ****** people. The quarterback is not the only determining factor in games. Maybe Beathard will end up better than Richardson, maybe he won't. But looking at their record versus ours and using that to determine who is better would be beyond stupid. Like, can't even get dressed in the morning without help stupid.

So was Rudock a better QB than Sam last year?

This is all going to be decided Saturday. Richardson should have the advantage with all those starts under his belt and 'the best WR's in ISU history'. Iowa has the best secondary I can remember in some time and I predict Richardson has an abysmal game. Give me CJB all day, twice on Sunday.

So 2010 is hard for you to remember? Is that what you're saying?

Greg Mabin and Desmond King are both NFL Corners who play press coverage compared to 2010. I'd take Taylor and Lomax over Greenwood and Sash too. Not to mention we have Fleming in our Nickel and Dime packages who was one of the fastest players in his entire recruiting class.

So Mabin and King won't be playing on Saturday? What NFL teams are they on again? Can I please get a sane hok fan in here on dan patrol?

And Drew Ott is going to be an All American because he beat up on an FCS first time starter who didn't get help from double teams, gotcha.

What??? King is an NFL player, Mabin a borderline guy who might work his way into a late round pick and no way any sane person would take Lomax and Taylor over Sash and Greenwood.

Your D Coordinator referred to Mabin as an 'NFL corner'.

If you watch the games, Greenwood and Sash weren't nearly as good as people presume. They played on good teams, Sash couldn't tackle and Greenwood couldn't close on coverage quick enough. People think Sash was great because of his INT numbers but he just happened to be in the right place at the right time, anyone could have made the majority of those plays. He could have called for fair catch on most of his INT's.

Sash left after his junior year and got drafted but wasn't that good?

Couple of things here:

1. Pretty sure rholtgraves is a hawk fan.

2. Being in the right place at the right time is the definition of being a great corner. You made his point for him.

Edit: Corner/Safety

Sash is a safety. When you play a bend but don't break defense it's pretty easy for the safety's to sit back and pickup INT's
