That's why you have the wife do it. Tell her to wear some provocative clothing and be flirty, those car salesmen are a horny bunch and she will get a better deal like that.

You should have tried it 25 years ago. At least car salesman aren't (generally) pushy anymore.

The guy I got paired up with at a local dealership doesn't seem pushy so much as adaptive and active. I sent an inquiry to see if it was still available last night and he responded at 8:15 with a video walking around the van. He also has his own blog discussing car buying stuff.

@BCClone he is a former youth pastor so I am not sure to what extent that will work. The struggle may be getting MrsWx to dress provocatively.

Maybe you should dress up like an altar boy.

I laughed, but, for real...

Ugh, got my cable bill and apparently my Time Warner promotion ran out and my bill jumped $18/mo. I just called to try to get another promotion to lower my bill. The rep said that since Spectrum took over, I was still on Time Warner's pricing. I'm thinking "Cool, lower rates." Oh hell no. If I were to switch over to Spectrum's rates, my bill would go up $60/month from where I'm at now.

WTF? I barely even watch $60 worth of tv in a month as it is! The guy kept talking until I interrupted him by saying, "Listen, there is absolutely nothing you can say right now that will make me increase my current bill. If anything, you will make me drop my account completely right now, with you on the phone, if you say anything more to me about raising my bill."

Looks like I'll be switching to Google Fiber or just cutting the cord like everyone else.

I've considered signing up for the Xfinity Triple Play package and just not ever hooking up the landline phones because the package price is cheaper. I know there has to be some catch to it, though.

Someone sent me an E-mail with the subject line "Reference # 12345" and then asked me about it's status in the body of the E-mail. I reply back, "What reference number are you referring to?"

I actually heard my brain laugh at my pride as I feebly tried to hit the unsend button in time.

We don't have Comcast, but that looks pretty competitive.

Not exactly sure.
Never realized how often certain commercials run. Sit and listen for 12-15 hours a day and you notice. There is a male enhancement one that is almost every 20 minutes.

After the 100 time hearing it, I just figured out they mean wood by enhancement. I thought they meant larger junk.

Just read one of my paragraphs. I had to pause and ask myself what exactly it was supposed to be.

It could have been any one of a number of things. Whatever it was, it did nothing well. Just a gaggle of words strategically placed for maximum worthlessness.

Sounds like some of my high school papers that my teachers were foolishly happy with.

I don't believe this got the same reaction, but for the life of me, I can't see how there aren't comments littering the page on this thing.

It's like bits of 2 different introductions, but it doesn't introduce a single thing.

Well, it was like that. It's good now.

I just went and bought Mrs. Velo flowers for no reason. Do you think she will wonder what I did wrong?

I will from time to time buy MrsWx flowers for no reason as well. It always feels like everyone in the store is looking at me asking themselves "I wonder what he screwed up?"

Bell choir rehearsal tonight. Director & his wife (one of the other ringers) have a young daughter, about 2-1/2 years old. No child care at the church, so mom plays bells at the end of one of the two rows of tables, and daughter plays with her toys & books on the floor next to her. She's a little angel.

We were stopped, talking about a problem spot, and director says "okay, on the count of three..." From down below the end of the table in a gravelly little voice we hear "onnnnnne, twooooooo, threeeeeeee". We all completely lost it. When the director was done laughing, he raised the baton & held up one finger, then two, then three.
