So would Pollard be doing any sort of lobbying to try to avoid the Liberty? If so, what does that look like?
Sounds like to me he's doing exactly the opposite. The team practice/bowl date comment was a poor effort to pump up Memphis.

No, he's been lobbying FOR the Liberty all week.
And to think, people on here were actually complaining about a possible ND-ISU matchup in Orlando earlier this week.
tell them that West Virginia would send a lot more fans than ISU would. So would Pollard be doing any sort of lobbying to try to avoid the Liberty? If so, what does that look like?
The only thing we could do is decline the Liberty Bowl invite (behind the scenes), which we won't do.So would Pollard be doing any sort of lobbying to try to avoid the Liberty? If so, what does that look like?
And it’s 11:30 am. Ugh.That's really disappointing if we play Memphis in Memphis
You are (no offense intended).I may be delusional but I think TCU still goes NY6. So worst case, I hold out hope for Orlando till the last second.

For reference, West Virginia played in the Liberty Bowl in 2014 and K-State did in 2015.
We will see but TCU's performance today (lack of) probably didn't help matters any. Other than maybe Washington I don't know who else could jump them though so they still might stay in it.I may be delusional but I think TCU still goes NY6.
