So would Pollard be doing any sort of lobbying to try to avoid the Liberty? If so, what does that look like?

Sounds like to me he's doing exactly the opposite. The team practice/bowl date comment was a poor effort to pump up Memphis.

No, he's been lobbying FOR the Liberty all week.

And to think, people on here were actually complaining about a possible ND-ISU matchup in Orlando earlier this week.

I know I read his reasons but I still don't get why we would WANT the Liberty Bowl

tell them that West Virginia would send a lot more fans than ISU would.

or that Kansas St. would send more fans since it might be Snyder's final game. Better TV ratings and KSU fans will want to travel to watch it since it is his final game.

Listening to college football analysts support Memphis if ISU goes to the Liberty will be no different than listening to the chode choking from CBB pundits when ISU played against Nevada.

Literally a no-win scenario. I'd rather play UNI again.

Pollard selling our fan base that Liberty means more practice time when everyone is limited to the same number of practices and technically Memphis will get more because they played in their conference championship is the most Pollard thing ever.

I may be delusional but I think TCU still goes NY6. So worst case, I hold out hope for Orlando till the last second.

We will see but TCU's performance today (lack of) probably didn't help matters any. Other than maybe Washington I don't know who else could jump them though so they still might stay in it.
