No it ends Saturday when Iowa beats them#16 Ohio State lost at Rutgers tonight. Would you say their season is over?
How about if KU loses tonight?
Their season isn't over but their Big 10 title aspirations probably are. With 6 games remaining against the teams above them in the standings and 4 of them on the road, losing to a dum dum low tier team is a brutal blow.#16 Ohio State lost at Rutgers tonight. Would you say their season is over?

Since when was Ohio State suppose to contend for a Big 10 title? They arent anywhere close to Michigan or Michigan State so this post makes no sense.
And you misread my post- I didn’t claim you said we weren’t good, I said you alluded to “we’re not THAT good”, as in not good enough to be disappointed in losing as a road favorite to a projected lower tier Big 12 team, or as in having the Baylor road loss change the forecasted win total for conference play. And no, I don’t think they’ve played to their mid-season/current potential, which is largely the point. You contradicted your premise. You read way too much in to my post, I never said we weren't good. Just that we hadn't played like a big 12 contending team. OSU wasn't a ton different than last night, the first half against KU wasn't really either. You think this team has played to its potential the last 3 games? That the second half against KU was it's peak? Sorry I can't agree with that.

You must have missed the part where we beat Kansas.
And we weren’t supposed to contend either. We were picked 6th.
Just because you are pissy that we haven’t won one since 2001 doesn’t mean we were expected to this year.
Just because we beat Kansas at home doesn't mean we're Big 12 title contenders
Look at our roster and tell me we shouldnt at least be contending for a Big 12 title. We have 3 guys in the starting lineup who have a ton of experience and have already been through the gauntlet of ACC, Big 10, and Big 12 seasons.
We have 2 freshman and a sophomore who are already showing up on NBA draft boards. We have our 2 bigs on the bench who already have a combined 3 years of starting experience in the Big 12.
If thats not good enough to at least challenge Kansas for a title then there is no hope.
We should be, you guys have extremely low expectations then.
Yikes! Iowa State has some major work to do in conference play to make the tournament.
Agree, and if we get crushed inside with Jacobson and Young, then we’re underperforming more than thought.I guess I still expect us to contend. If we get crushed inside without Lard this weeken, my optimism may plummet. I’m also assuming KU doesn’t have any more all-stars “redshirting”.
Dec 18, 2018. Lol troll
Yeah, with the Big 12 being #1 again, I think 9-9 might sneak us into the tourney. I have my sights set a little higher though, I think we can go 12-6 or 13-5.
This is what I posted in that thread. Where did I say we would go 9-9?
