Thankfully ISU has a capable team and the coaches (CMC, Heacock, Manning) have patience to stay the course and let things play out before totally panicking somewhere in the 2nd qtr.

Some are definitely trolls, but I legitimately can't imagine being as negative of a fan as a lot of the posters in gameday threads are. What is the point of being a fan if that's how you watch a game?

The only thing good about fans like that are, when we lose just reading their misery makes me feel good by comparison. I can't imagine how miserable their lives must be. I feel sorry for them.

Shout out to Blake Peterson last night. He got a lot of playing time and almost every play he was driving the tackle straight back.

It wasn't that bad. We just had untimely mistakes.

My biggest issue with the first half was the insistence of trying to run horizontal on texas and throwing it so much. We started the game with Breece up the middle twice for decent gains then abandoned that until the 2nd half.

Considering ISU failed to covert on Purdy's 4th down run and Hutch's lost fumble, those were opportunities that ISU could have come away with points. Hate to see it, but its a part of why they had 3 points. Offense was a bit stagnant in the 1st half, but part of it was self inflicted when they were moving the ball.

The defense was really great the first half. Offense kind of stunk and had a ST blunder. Had several possessions including a positive territory and only got 3 points. I think the thing that made it bad was wasting a great half by the D.

We had a tavern hok in our section wearing a longhorn shirt and his little kid all decked out in hawkeye gear. Why would you even think of doing something like that. I guess he was expecting a big Texas win. Didn’t see them around much in the 4th Q.

Right, I'm not saying it was good. I'm saying it was stuff that at half time you should have thought we could fix. And, while I am not stupid and did not say this out loud, we all know that Texas has been dog **** in 3rd quarters. And we weren't down by 21 like Oklahoma was or whatever Oklahoma State was. I just wasn't distraught at half time. I was disappointed.

Because it all depends on the defensive looks they are getting.

Just because they get some nice runs, it doesn't mean those lanes are always there.

Agree with 1. With 2, it was kind of feast or famine for them. Robinson was either getting 8 yards or no yards. Get yourself in a second an King against a stingy defense and you almost have to pass.
