Yeah, Texas already sucks. They’ll be about the same in the SEC imo.Texas just lost three straight to Iowa State. The upcoming SEC beatdowns will not be something they aren't already experiencing..
He’s not wrong. ISU will absolutely jump ship it offered by the Big Ten or Pac. And they should. You can try to pump this new conference up all you want, but it won’t be 3rd best in the nation. That’s just reality. Reality is also that ISU, at least currently, doesn’t have any better option. The two ideas don’t have to be mutually exclusive. So you agree Texas is doing intentional harm to ISU and other schools.
Curious, what other magical conference will ISU join? Big Ten will NEVER add ISU, and if you think Iowa wants us there instead of in the wilderness like the Hayden Fry years you are mistaken.
The new Big12 will be just fine moving forward, probably 3rd best conference after SEC and then Big Ten. And, we won't have to deal with being held hostage like we have for decades.

It will be interesting to see how their fans cope. On one hand, they’ll be losing to more programs that even UT knows they’ll never be, but on the other hand they can’t continue to blame conference affiliation.

they aren't wrong about the conference
if you don't think ISU is looking for a life boat out of this new conference you are on drugs

It will be third best in actual football
Texas in the SEC won’t be much much different than Texas in the Big 12 imo.You have to remember that even though the SEC is a good conference, there are going to be years where between November's FCS-fest and unbalanced scheduling where they might play 2 really good teams, 2-3 decent teams and 7-8 **** teams.
They will win their games, because a 5 win Big 12 team can be just fine in a lot of years given how most of the SEC teams schedule.
The perception of the ACC and Pac12 is very bad and not better than the Big 12. That’s why they don’t get paid **** and horrible ratingsmaybe in practice but not necessarily in perception by media and fans. Perception is reality and Fox and ESPN can make us perceived as however they want.

At one time they had a better perception in terms of stability, but that’s increasingly no longer true
To me, this relates to Nebraska's Big 12 exit in a couple of ways. Obviously for both TX and NE, it is/was the money--isn't it always? However, I also felt--yeah, I know this is gonna be a stretch--the unspoken reason for NE bolting was that they couldn't beat TX. Now TX can't beat what it feels are their 'lessers.' Feels like deja vu all over again.
The common similarity is that they both left because of Texas' attitude.Remember what happened to Nebraska when they left the Big 12? These situations are eerily similar.
Maybe. I’m not sold any of these teams will be any better than TCU and WVU in the long run. They came in really good and now are mostly middle of the pack teams now.It will be third best in actual football
So it’s House of Wax and Texas is Paris Hilton and OU is Elisha Cuthbert?
From Burnt Orange Nation's recap article. Fans are gonna run Sark out of town before the season ends.
The four-consecutive blown halftime leads are the most in the FBS in the last 15 seasons — the issues for first-year head coach Steve Sarkisian are historic after Texas fired Tom Herman following a 7-3 campaign and a tenure that never featured the type of defeats that have happened multiple times this season.
Herman never lost as badly as Texas lost to Arkansas. Herman never lost as badly as Texas lost to Iowa State. Herman never blew a 21-point lead like Texas did against Oklahoma. Herman never blew an 14-point lead like Texas did against Oklahoma State. Herman never blew an 11-point lead like Texas did against Baylor.
