Well that was disappointing. Shooting % came back to haunt us I believe, didn't check the stats but it sure seemed rough tonight. Oh well time to get the W Sat at home.

Yeah we are kind of soft offensively. Aside from hunter. Brockington has a great mid range jumper but he also possesses the ability to drive and get to the rack. He has been refusing to do that so far in conference play unfortunately
I would prefer he get charges and try to go strong to the hoop, but our handles are just pathetic outside of Hunter and Jackson.

I'm glad we're done with Tech. Bad match up for our guys. I hope we don't have to meet this team down in Kansas City.
I'm glad they brought it back from down 27 to only losing by 12. Still a loss, but not as bad of a blowout (on paper, at least).
Shots didn't fall. However, I do think it's kind of funny that ISU actually had a better 3 pt percentage than TTU - 19.2% to 18.8%. Just wish they had done better in the paint. And the attempted/made free throw percentage comparisons - woof.

Checked out the shot chart on ESPN. Between Gabe and IB there were three shots at the rim, three shots around the FT line/elbow, and 16 other shots outside the paint. That’s an issue. Some were open, but a lot were contested. Some were not getting good looks and having to get something off late in the shot clock.

Also to those claiming they stopped attacking because they weren’t getting calls, ISU was 5/8 at the rim in the first half. Two of those missed were Rob on feeds or putbacks, so not exactly attacking the rim off the bounce.

So I’m calling ******** on people claiming that ISU stopped trying to drive to the hoop because they weren’t getting calls.

Alright, who’s tweeting at the players?

I will at least give a little credit to every reply I saw to that being supportive. But also, c'mon folks. These guys are giving it everything they have.

Bingo. There’s a reason our foul trouble was our posts. They drove it into our big guys and forced the action. We settled for outside shots. Simple equation, really.

2 -4 is fine, but this is going to get out of control if we can't get the free throw differential solved

just can't spot the other team 15 points on the road, which is what we are averaging

And eventually this is going to catch us at home, hell it already did, Baylor outscired us by 11 at the line in Ames, that's the difference in all the losses

making them is one thing, on the road I guess it’s just normal the other team is gonna get 15-30 more attempts.

It also matters how and when the free throws happen. It was 8 free throws taken to 9 taken at half, but the game was blown open as the disparity ballooned from 1 all the way to 16 in the first 9? minutes of the half.

Because people are responding in bad faith; again no, it was not the only reason TTU won.

I wish they would just throw in Walker for a couple minutes when our offense hits a drought. I realize his defense isn’t there, but he at least gets the offense moving towards the basket. When things get tough our team settles for jumpshots. He might be able to get us out of those funks. I am not asking for 10+minutes a game. But a couple minutes here or there might be all the spark we need to get out of scoring slumps.

Then look at Tech's shot chart and tell me they deserved a billion more free throws than us.
