The reality is that we aren’t ready to just reload like we thought. He gave us 3 nfl RBs, very good TEs, and the most consistently productive QB we’ve ever had. Not to mention a consistently good defense. He’s a good coach.

Realistically with Campbell we will hover around 7 wins most years and occasionally fight for the B12 every once in a while and also have a season like this one every once in a while.

I think that’s the pattern without a substantial upgrade in offensive and special teams coaching.
We are never going to fight for the Big12 again with this staff in place. We missed our window, didn't build on it with recruiting, and now face even more challenges to returning to conference championship relevancy.

There is absolutely no excuse for this abomination of a season on offense, especially with the transfer portal available.

Notice how CMC laughed off Randy’s even slight mention of going under center on 3rd and 1. That’s where we’re at folks. Reminded me so much of KF. How dare you even mention going under center….. even though it’s the right call.
Arrogance and underachievement rarely portends future success.

Attacking the fans over his gutless actions against KU was a horrible development.

The history to now suggests that 7 is high.

After one of those horrible first half penalties called on us.... they panned to CMC and he just laughed and shook his head. It's like he already knows that he will never get any calls while at ISU.... and unfortunately he's right.

The sport is all about $$$..... and the Big 12 has no interest in ISU being the top team in the league.
This is so wrong. If Matt Campbell thinks officiating is why we are terrible, it’s time for him to move on. Officiating had no impact on the outcome today.

We'll never know.
Three bad calls in the first half did effect the game, enough to change momentum and the ulimate winner, who knows?
I thought going for it on 4th and 1 at midfield at the start of the game instead of punting and putting their best unit on the fireld was the early tempo setter. First guess. Told me buddy at the game, PUNT right away. Just a bunch of bungled thing for ISU today.

Yep for scheduling homecoming games.

Actually it's not that bad, I just have sort of a bitter taste after today's game.

The problem I have with blaming the refs is that the disputed call is always just one play. I assume the no call on the PI on Hutchinson is one of the missed calls you are referring to. The very next play Shaw drops a high pass that would have been a first down. That certainly was not the same yardage as the Hutchinson PI but if the throw is better or Shaw makes a play the drive continues. Instead, we go 3 and out.

Beginning to wonder how much of the 2020 season success was dodging major covid issues, and playing teams that just didn't avoid it and players stay disciplined as well as we did. And we didn't have to play Iowa. It sure has been a s**t show since beating Oregon. Last year a historic flop.
2020 was a farce and deep down everyone knows it.

ISU donations NIL wise are poor.
Whether any of us like that model, it's a fact.

Feels like Blum isn’t doing near enough with the collective. How often do you see updates on this site about it? We need to know what they’re doing with the money. Is he targeting any MAC or FCS guys with NIL offers who can be difference makers?

I'm close to the point where I think parting ways with Campbell might be worth it just to get rid of Manning.
Well I’ll say this. Things will go down in flames if he isn’t willing to get rid of manning. We will all just have to sit and wait that out.
