Jerome Tang not getting good ROI for Hawkins

Saw the clip from Hawkins post-game about the **** he sees out there like someone writing to him 'I hope you break your leg' etc.

I get these guys are paid but how does anyone have that low of maturity to write something like to any athlete, pro or not?

He also doesn’t need to be online if it’s bothering him. Not saying it’s right for people to go that far, but these athletes and coaches also don’t have to be on Twitter, instagram, facebook, whatever either. I don’t feel bad for them whatsoever.

Tang and TJ started the same season. Pack played for the Miami team ISU played in the sweet 16. IIRC

Tang started in 22, TJ started in 21.

It was pretty crazy how every coach was a huge character back then. Billy Tubbs, Sit down Norm, Danny Nee, Johnny, Eddie Sutton. Just every coach had something that made us hate them or just love to push their buttons on the sidelines. Billy Tubbs was the ultimate "Does stuff to get on the fans nerves" type guy. He played into it the best.

Before Bobby Knight there was Ted Owens threatening to throw Johnny Orr’s typewriter onto the court.

I was amazed that for two straight timeouts, during the last 4 minutes of the game, Tang had his team sit and wait for him while he spent the majority of the timeout consulting with his coaches. When he was finally ready, the 'end of the timeout' buzzer was already sounding.

I think I could even do better.

I went to the ISU game in Manhattan last year and got to sit behind the scorers table between the 2 benches.

You should have heard some of the despicable things they were jawing at TJ and some of the players. This is coming the donor, faculty, and VIP section not some nosebleed seats where you'd expect that behavior.

I know it's a rival but I really hope our fans don't act that bad in Hilton.

Wild to see the persona Tang has developed since adversity hit.

- Accuses other teams and referees of nefarious conduct
- Whines to officials and gets T'd up regularly
- Calls out other teams' players in pressers
- Throws his own players and fans under the bus in pressers
- Hides behind his religion

If I'm a KSU fan I'm getting pretty fed up as the losing continues.

I couldn't watch past the 25 second mark. I'm a Christian but Tang just jumps out as such a phoney. The first 25 seconds were all about "him", "I'm", "me", etc. And I don't even think he realizes he is doing it.

Bruce is one of my favorite non-Cyclone coaches, he once refused to cut his hair until the NCAA investigation into Adidas/KU's recruiting was completed.

That gif where he's running off the court looking all flabbergasted is just chef's kiss.
