We were decimated with injuries this year and last year Feldcamp got injured at the wrong time and so did Bastida as well. Last year Guitan wrestled above seed, Carr above seed, and E Frost above seed as well. This year J Frost above seed, Guitan above seed, and Riggins above seed. Where are you getting information? I get the frustration but injuries have played a huge role in all of this.
Unfortunately, excuses do little to comfort anyone. 26 teams were better than us and again, unacceptable.

Yes, injuries that don't allow wrestlers to perform to their maximum ability should be thrown out the door and zero grace awarded.

Next you're going to blame Sammy Sasso for getting shot because he just shouldn't have been there.

I don’t know enough about it to comment
lots of rumors, I am not going to say. I will say this, I think he was screwed over, and I will leave it at that. Dresser loves him, and I don't think agreed on him being let go. I think he now has a gym somewhere and some of the guys plan on working out at his place.

I assumed there had to be something behind the scenes.

Interesting take....If next year is another bust, then real discussions need to be had. Like it or not, ISU is a blue blood in wrestling and falling behind the likes of Wyoming and Indiana at the NCAA Wrestling Championships is unacceptable.

Is ISU really a “blue blood” in wrestling? With no team titles in nearly 40 years, and 1 top 10 finish in the last 15, I’m thinking that’s a no. We aren’t without resources but blue blood is a high bar.

Teams best known for their wrestling history right now are Iowa State, Iowa, Oklahoma State, and Penn State.. Too much history in Ames Iowa to be left out. But not recent history that's for sure.

Teams with a lot of resources and funding are Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska (not sure on the NIL funding), Cornell, Iowa State, Minnesota, Virginia Tech, NC State, Missouri, Illinois - a lot of the big10 schools and a couple other programs really have invested into wrestling. Some really great small schools known for their wrestling like Lehigh and UNI
