    Sounds like a fair assessment to me. Lanning can make a few adjustments to improve. He was short on quite a few of his throws where the receiver was open. At least he is throwing it to a spot where only our receiver can get to it.

    In my experience, night names tend to have much lighter attendance. It opens at 6:00 am every game, but I wouldn't worry at all about it reaching capacity for a night game.

    This is a must win game in the same sense as the UNI game was a must win. We have to win the easiest games on our schedule if we want to have a shot at a bowl game. If we don't win I'll expect another 2-3 win season.

    I was on a VEISHEA committee 3 out of the four years I was in Ames. Tom always seemed to have the best interests of the university in mind. I know many of the people who ran VEISHEA and they all feel the same.
