Don't anticipate much for storms tomorrow, warmfront should stay south of the state keeping the best threats in north/central Missouri. I 80 and south will see some thunderstorms but they shouldn't be severe, the rest of Iowa just spring rain.

The weather system to watch is this weekend, Saturday and Sunday look like they could have some very intense storms.

This is pretty much what I was going to add. Only mediocre chance of severe weather will be eastern KS and western MO with some marginally severe hail. Rain and thunderstorms will be around Iowa but nothing bad. Saturday will be the big show IMO. It will depend on where the system tracks exactly and how bad the capping is, but we should have plenty of shear and good instability to work with. I'm planning on chasing this day since I'll be in Iowa already and I don't get a lot of opportunities to go these days!

Its no different than any other topic. There is always 1 a-hole that needs to get in a smart-azz comment.
Unfortunately....its become a CF trait.
Its no wonder the most knowledgeable posters just read and don't post much anymore.

Because anyone can go on weather sites and gain as much knowledge as the so called experts claim to know.

When there is rough weather in Iowa I always come here. I love the discussions that take place on this forum given the knowledge and passion some have. Threads have subject lines, skip over those u don't like.

Bingo. Looks like my Saturday evening is going to be filled with plenty of work. All of Iowa has a pretty good chance for this. Southern Minnesota as well.

A cold frontal situation sets up for eastern Iowa Sunday.

Exactly Jon. Especially in the winter time, these threads are almost always dead on and I will second that CF is the first place I come to check out the real story when there is impending weather. I know it may be a shock to some that weather does impact people's lives more than say football recruits. I don't know why some people feel the need to be negative about worthy threads.

On a side note Jon, since you value the CF weather thread so much, you may want to consider adding a weather link to your HN sidebar that takes people right to CF. :twitcy:

It's one thing if the weather (whether it be summer or winter weather) is potentially severe enough that someone's well being or property could be at risk. But when the forecast for today and tonight is "showers and possibly a thunderstorm," what more is needed to be known?

Like Iastfan112 said, the weather forecast/system to watch is for this weekend. That, in my opinion, is worthy of a thread that I will read and take much interest in.

It's a discussion board on the internet, in the off topic section. IF people want to discuss the weather, who cares? As someone said, topics have Titles, you can skip over those you don't wish to read. I don't understand why people care what others talk about on a message board.

I always enjoy reading peoples insights on the weather on here.
