Iowa is finding out that they can't slow-play these kids anymore. They can't say "don't commit to ISU, we may have something for you in December". Because it used to be that way. Tyler Sash and Colin Sandeman...both had early offers from ISU. A couple months later, they had an iowa offer and were iowa commits. Same with Pat Angerer. Same with Nielson and Hundertmark from Humboldt. Same with Andy Brodell.
These days, if an instate kid has an ISU offer and iowa is slow-playing them, they will likely tell iowa to f-off and commit to ISU. We'll see if Bevins sticks, I'm betting he does. ISU is a solid program, their conference is stable now and their coach is much more personable. Iowa may win more (with their usually easy schedule) but ISU has a lot to offer.
ISU has very little to offer in comparison to most B1G schools academically/athletically. (with the exception of that Big 12 school we just added) It's just the truth, but continue to be a mouth breather and say whatever makes you feel good. :swoon:
And FWIW, Iowa offered every player you mentioned before August. How is that "slow playing" them?
Iowa may offer some ISU commits late, but ISU is going after kids that Iowa was looking at as walkons. I remember hearing the Iowa staff was stunned when ISU offered Brock Dagel,Jevon Miller and Lempke scholarships. Those were all FCS caliber recruits, walkon d1's.
