I don't like Bilas because he thinks he is never wrong. Dude, your opinion is an opinion, not gospel.
I would like to not have to listen to garbage commentary while watching my Cyclones so yeah, I do care who is calling them. But I am not generally a hater.
I didn't like King McClure his first year or two, but I think he has really grown into the job and I actually like him now.
I don't like Beth Mowins because I don't like her voice and a lot of what she says. It isn't because she is a woman. I like Debbie Antonelli and really like Brenda VanLengen.
I didn't much care for the woman doing PxP in today's women's game because I thought she was trying to be too cutesy but I thought the color commentatory really had her **** together.
There is a guy who does color on ISU home games on ESPN+ that I don't care for because he has to say "no doubt about" just about every time his partner makes a comment. Learn your crutches and do something about them if you are going to get paid to do commentary.
I'm not a fan of Bilas because he thinks his opnion is gospel and won't change his mind even when the replay shows he is definitely wrong something Fran is willing to do.
I don't like Dukie V, because he is such a Duke/UNC/Kansas homer and his schtick has become ridiculous. He has become a caricature of himself. I was really glad for him when I heard that he is now cancer free though.
I would like that too. I imagine some people from other fan bases feel Fran is a huge ISU homer.
Oh, and I forgot - I didn't like Jess Settles at first because - you know - I remember him playing as a Hawkeye who wouldn't go away, but he is good at his job and tries to be fair.

Settles is just a bit over the top… like when he calls Iowa defenders elite.

We have like a 100 years of being slighted by like, freaking everyone, so... I won't be too hard on folks for being a bit cautious/skeptical of all the "external" optimism towards our squad this year...

I have a different experience with Bilas. For some reason, his voice just disappears into the background noise. I usually can't even understand what he is saying. Maybe it is me losing my hearing as I get old, but it makes him much more tolerable.
I will take the over, even if the over is 1 divided by zero.

Thank you! The whining about perceived slights from announcers and sports channels is so lame.
If Bilas is here, it usually means we're having a very good season. I'd rather have that than losing to the Florida A&Ms of the world like we did in the Prohm era.
