Boozer should play because he works his butt off and does the little things right. He plays D and rebounds, You need at least one Charlos Boozer or Bryan Peterson to play on every good team. Our problem last year was we had 3 or 4 of those type of guys. This year we won't. Lets go dancin'.
He rebounds ok, he doesn't play much defense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, I get tired of everyone saying that.

Spot minutes in games we have in hand. Otherwise not much time in his future IMO.

I think he could help a lot and see a ton of playing time at the 2 or 3. He hustles all the time, plays pretty solid defense, rebounds really well, and could turn into a respectable scorer if he worked at it.

One thing that's hard to teach is desire, and it appears to me that he has a ton of it. He outhustles others on the court all the time, and that'll get you in games.

People get angry in Boozer threads... Any thread that mentions him should have its own cave from now on... "Mods" can we get on this?

I agree. I can't why so many people say he plays bad defense. When he's in there there's a new level of energy and it seems like his hands were as quick as Cameron Lee's. Came up with several steal in his limited minutes. As far as offense, the guy never met a shot he didn't like. McD was forcing him to be a better defender and I think he succeeded at that. But that limited his confidence on offense. I thought they'd open him up more on the offensive end but that never happened. I think he could be a good 2 if given the opportunity open up the offensive side of his game. Just my 2 cents with my 3rd-ever post.

You took the words right out of my mouth, jbhtexas. Good point. Hopefully, Boozer will get an opportunity. If he does indeed leave, he's one guy that we are going to see blossom at another program...

Big fan of Booze. Stepped improvement year to year. Solid blue collar. Do not give up on him....his style is what keeps the team moving forward. When this program is struggling, it is the athletes like Booze that keep this place afloat. I hope his time improves.

My question would be.....how does he like the program?

Would not surprise me. Another thing that was frustrating is that right when the guy came in and gave the team a spark, McD pulled him off the court. No opportunity to get in the flow of the game.

I thought Booze was the second most fun player to watch on the team. He has more upside where some of our current players do not as much.

This whole Petey vs Boozer thing makes as much sense as two people debating about which one has sweeter smelling crap. In the end it doesn't matter.........they both stink.

I think you are over-stating his impact. . .

For the minutes I watched while he was in there, we were behind and not catching up.

I like Boozer's effort, but he is not even one-dimensional.

And it seems like a couple poster feel like McD is forcing him out by not "appreciating" him. I seem to recall McD explicitly praising, that although limited, Boozer had really been working hard and contributing to the program. I will look for the article.

SwarthmoreCy, I wasn't over-stating impact, in fact, I said he gets taken out before he has an opportunity to make an impact.
