How does Ken Starr survive this and stay associated with the school? If it was bad enough to swallow up the coach and AD then it was probably bad enough to completely clean house.

It was bad enough that they needed to appear to do something. Starr is a big enough name that he can still be an asset for their law school.

Zero percent chance K briles is the OC this fall...zero. Baylor is done.

Would he quit if not fired? I'm sure there will be backlash if he stays, but he's getting paid a lot. He will likely end up somewhere decent after this year too.

The report must be bad, really bad, if they are firing Briles. No college will touch him right away. Bet he goes to the NFL.

He might be radioactive to NFL franchises after this mess. Since the Greg Hardy and Ray Rice incidents, most teams have been pretty careful about bringing in players who have been accused of domestic or sexual assault.

he hasn't been fired according to journalists who have asked, not sure where he's coming with the zero percent unless he knows something they don't.

Pat Forde ‎@YahooForde Baylor expected to make defensive coordinator Phil Bennett interim coach, per source. Kendall Briles to remain on staff as of now.

I don't think they are abandoning the university because they did the right thing. I think they are abandoning the university because of what they did in the first place. The current fallout is just proving the allegations for them.
You'd like to think so, but nope, he added this later: "I am done. I don't want to be associated with a school that caves to public opinion. This is not right. But then again, I am not a Regent, and they have to live with the barn fire they've started."

To be fair to Baylor fans, I glanced over at that board and the majority seem to be saying that this should not have been allowed to happen and Baylor needs to clean house.

So, abandon the university once they decide to do the right thing? That says a lot about those fans.

No, abandon the university that decided to cover-up and dissuade victims from reporting sexual assaults from 2012-2015 so they could win more football games.

Wonder if they'll get the NCAA death penalty, or if the only thing the NCAA cares enough about to use it for is paying players.

If Penn State can survive a coach raping little boys, Baylor will survive players raping women. Not saying it's right; just sayin.

Penn st is a blue blood fball program though..Baylor will survive but won't be same again
