The networks can't afford college football to turn into a southern region only semi-pro league that 75% of the country won't give two ***** about. This is the first step of the top 70 or so programs killing the NCAA for good in football and getting a big ass check from Disney. ISU will be fine. But college football as it is heading will be unrecognizable in the next four-five years. And I'm not sure yet if that's a good or bad thing.

This is probably the most realistic outcome. Honestly not terrible.

I don't see K-State getting in here and not Kansas. K-State's football is not enough to elevate them over KU's academics and basketball pedigree.
I think KU is an attractive target for the Big 10 and ACC. Academics and blue blood basketball. I think they leave the rest of us behind.

I have no idea why Iowa would put up a fight about that.

A. It would simplify scheduling greatly for both teams, they’d play Thanksgiving Friday. **** Nebraska. And have a free non con slot for a top intersectional game every year.

B. Unlike with Mizzoo and A&M regarding OU and UT, we’re already on the schedule, and they’re arrogant enough to think they’d beat us most of the time anyway.
Recruiting advantage. Easy messaging to recruits. If you are a four-star Iowa kid why would you play at ISU in a hack conference when you can play in the B10?

Listening to Miller and Condon now. Trent is absolutely giddy with this news, and says our only chance is to the Pac-12. Also says that there is no way Barta will let ISU join the BIG.
If Texas A&M can't stop Texas from joining the SEC Iowa sure as **** doesn't have enough pull to stop ISU from joining the Big 10 on their own

The SEC is all in on blowing up the NCAA control of college football. This is just the first move.

Hold on to your butts, the collateral damage will be huge until it all shakes out.

****.

Why are you so certain that loses Campbell?

its a far inferior conference to what we have now for what his goals seem to be. I thought we had a good chance to keep him in our current situation. I doubt he’d turn down Michigan if we are in some ****** division of the pac 12.

one things for sure our second favorite team this year needs to be Michigan.

Way up there
I actually like 4 team pods in a PAC 16.
Midwest Pod: Iowa State, K-State, Oklahoma State, and Colorado
Southeast Pod: Texas Tech, Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah
California Pod: Cal, USC, UCLA, Stanford
Northwest Pod: Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State

I'd like to go with this, only have 11 games scheduled, 3 non con, 8 conference ,with a 9th conference game coming through a semifinal round for the pod winners to get to the CCG. Then matchup the other 14 teams by where they finished in their pod standings for their 9th league game the week of the semi's.

Campbell would have a better chance of getting Iowa State to the 12 team CFP in that Pac 16 scenario than he would in a new 16 team Big 10 with Michigan

Texas
1- ESPN 100% is behind this. No questoin...They get to elimnate the LHN and keep TX and not pay the remaining big 12 schools.

2- Saying ISU has zero chance to join the big ten is dumb. KU and ISU are only remaining AAU programs.

3- Unless conferences dissolve the Big ten isnt raiding ACC bc ACC GOR goes until 2036.

4- Barry Alvarez was just named the Big ten Football Czar. This can only help ISU IMO.
