As they should have. Nothing has changed on that front. A person who wasn't supposed to be in that area was not only allowed in, but gained access to the locker room. To ISU's and the security firm's credit, they have since tightened security in that area but the fact that it was an iowa fan doesn't make it any less embarrassing for ISU.

It certainly makes your athletic department look like a bunch of pathetic dbags that they warned the entire Big 12 about thieves who turned out to be a Hawkeye Political Science major.

Now is the point in the story where if Iowa had been mature about the situation, it would all blow over. Instead they chose to be dbags and now they'll be exposed for it. You can't act like that and then have nobody care when you should have pointed the finger at least partly at yourself.

Do you have any idea how difficult it is to protect the University of Iowa from the University of Iowa? Cut the security some slack.

There's not enough jail cells in Iowa

Didn't they already admit that Iowa staff did not lock the door? This is 0% the fault of the ISU AD. Dumbasses left the door unlocked so one of their loser former students can rob them blind. Plenty of lulz to go around.

1. Iowa and pro teams use the same company.
2. Iowa left door unlocked
3. Iowa political science major was the thief
4. Iowa contacted ISU's Big 12 opponents trying to embarrass ISU

I'm looking at about 99% d-baggery by an obsessed Iowa athletic department in this situation. If they act mature now is the time the whole thing blows over. They didn't.

He was pulling our leg, but in this case I think it's a lot of fun to believe him when he said he worked at McDonalds!

Talk about a roller-coaster of emotions. I go from enthusiastic to crushed in a matter of seconds.

Now, someone draft an email to all B1G ADs, cautioning them about U of I fans visiting....and send it...of course, 'cc' Barta/Pollard for good measure.

Another thing I'd point out, all the HOK fans made it out like JP and our dept were some armature hour hiring CSC security...look at their client list.

It would be interesting to see the entire report and see what really happened. If Iowa guys forgot to lock the locker room after everyone was out, then 90% of the blame goes on them. If I leave my car unlocked at the mall parking lot at night, and it gets broken into, I would be mad, but I would also know who made it easy to happen. Maybe the guy that was suppose to lock the door was working with the thief, and left it open.

Also would be interesting to know what the security company was required to do. Where they suppose to guard the locker room after everyone was out? Are they suppose to keep people out of the Jacobson building? Did the guy have some fake U of I credentials to let him in?

Does anyone know which country Mr. Beary has fled to? I hope that country will extradite him back to the US so he can be properly punished. He should serve life in prison for the horrible crimes he has committed to the sacred University of Iowa.

How about something a little more severe such as finish his degree at Iowa.

Iowa "forgot" to lock the locker room door.
Do we know that for sure? Not to doubt anyone, but the only place I have seen that was on here I think. Was that ever reported in the paper or anything? I mean if Iowa forgot to lock their own locker room, then why would they write to other teams telling them to be careful in Ames? They should have written to not be stupid like they had been.

4 years of Political Science from Iowa with no degree...fleeing the country after a crime...

So if you were working at Burger King right out of highschool you're still vastly ahead of this Hawkeye in life unless you also intentionally burned a pile of something like $50,000.

I emailed them about it...and I've been listening for a decade without ever emailing about anything. They covered the initial "story" enough that this deserves a few DAYS of coverage.

It could be that this was their standard practice to not lock the door since there was security. Once they got caught with their pants down they started throwing blame around.

Exactly. And CSC hires a lot of young National Guard men and women to help out with large events. So if the Hawk fans are criticizing security, they're really criticizing the troops. So my next obvious question is, why do the Hawkeyes hate America?
