Since the stolen phones were all replaced, I think any recovered by the Ames 5-0 should be displayed in Iowa's fancy new trophy case along with that letter to ISU's future home opponents & a printout of this thread.

Exactly. And CSC hires a lot of young National Guard men and women to help out with large events. So if the Hawk fans are criticizing security, they're really criticizing the troops. So my next obvious question is, why do the Hawkeyes hate America?

Do we know that for sure? Not to doubt anyone, but the only place I have seen that was on here I think. Was that ever reported in the paper or anything? I mean if Iowa forgot to lock their own locker room, then why would they write to other teams telling them to be careful in Ames? They should have written to not be stupid like they had been.

I have not seen this anywhere else, but that was the other rumor that was going around with the one about it being someone from Iowa that robbed the locker room. Would not surprise me at all that it was not locked, or that the guy that was suppose to lock it, left it unlocked to assist the robber.

This entire investigation should be available to the general public at some point in time.

In the end, it is exactly what is was, an unfortunate incident that was not the fault of ISU or it's fans. The whole thing got out of hand because Hawk fans, the local media, and the Iowa AD office all insisted on being idiots, and D-bags.

My god, over at HN they can't accept the fact that one of there did this. They are trying to spin it any way possible that its ISU's fault.

Our AD needs to send out letters to all Big 10 Athletic Departments to be careful and watch out for this guy when they visit Iowa City

Why would they warn about him in Iowa City when it happened in Ames?

He is obviously a hawk fan and may follow them around to other hawk events. This person would have never been at Jack Trice if the hawks weren't playing.

It is ISU's fault. Well technically, it's the security firm's fault but it was on ISU's property so they take the overall blame.

No, it isn't. It was an EIU fan/dropout. That is EIU's fault for breeding such stupidity. ISU just did the right thing by offering reimbursement. EIU wouldn't do that. #lilbro

Given this fans' love of stealing cell phones ISU might just offer him a football scholarship

Nice try. Tell the idiots who are on the Iowa staff to lock the door.

How many days was it front page news on the CR Gazette? 4-5-6? We'll be lucky if they cover this on page 4.

So that makes it ok to steal the crap. Nice try.

Let's get something straight right now.....there is no one to blame for the actual theft of these items but the thief/perpetrator himself.

If I leave my house unlocked and someone comes and steals my TV, I gave the thief the opportunity to be a thief, but it is not my fault that the thief was a thief.
