Okay, let's not get into the whose fault it is discussion... It's already been determined countless times that this is how it is:
2000-shortly after ish... No Cyclone Alley. Basketball team is awesome. Student section good.
2004ish - Basketball program on the decline... Cyclone Alley comes into play, owns one half of the student section. Other half is general admission. Diehards flock to non-Cyclone Alley side and it is rowdier.
2008ish - Lowpoint of the program, lowpoint of the student section.
2011 - Basketball program starting to gain momentum... Fans want Hilton to return to full glory.
2012 - Basketball program has best season in some time... Hilton in general does better, but Cyclone Alley takes most of blame for a non-rowdy and much too structured student section
2013 - Basketball program looking to be consistently good in the coming years. Hilton getting close to old-time loudness, but student section isn't "crazy"
TL;DR - Cyclone Alley takes the blame for students not knowing what a good student section is supposed to be like due to the time it was introduced - when the program was nearing a low. Now, I'm not saying Cyclone Alley is a good thing, but the problem is the majority of the students just plain don't know how to act at a basketball game.
