I'll be very glad if we get Heacock. He was target #1. Toledo guy on here says their defense improved quite a bit since he came onto Campbell staff.

Sounds like it is done deal. He really improved Toledos defense last two years. If it weren't for offensive injuries they would of been in top 25 the year before also. He is the experience that some on here wants!

Is this recent or from about a month ago?

To put it bluntly the defense pretty much sucked. It was fun to watch the last two years. Before that I thought we needed 50 to win every game.

Any idea what took him so long to decide? Or is the announcement just a formality; as in he's been here for awhile.

I really think it was a .....Do I want to move my kids again....hs age. I think due to dead period Campbell let him take his time. No knowledge, just speculting.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Campbell flew in to Toledo..they have a real airport [just kidding] to meet with him and family to seal the deal.

Bobby La Gesse also said that they were hearing that Heacock has been mulling it over. Glad that it worked out for us in the end but wonder what would of happened if Heacock stayed in Toledo.

ISU has stolen a lot of coaching talent from a successful program. BRAVO! This is exactly what didn't happen in previous experiments. Same reason why Jerry Kill was great at Minnesota.
