The intimidation of a bunch of red shirts!
Ah. There's the problem. CA seems to have forgotten that our colors are cardinal and gold, not red and yellow.

People can talk about their glory days of hoops games and awesome attendance, but CA isn't the issue. The difference is winning basketball games. Anyone thinking a t-shirt makes a difference on the cheering is just making **** up to make themselves feel better. Wins get people in seats. We aren't very good, people aren't going to go out of their way to attend games. Its as simple as that.
Dude, did someone in Cyclone Alley murder your firstborn? This obsession with getting rid of Cyclone Alley is unhealthy. Do you really think the title/leadership of "Cyclone Alley" is what is keeping the students away? No! Most students just aren't as fanatical about basketball as everyone on this site.Bump.

Stop calling the student section that name, and what happens? A group of people who get front row in every game gets moved into the line outside Hilton before games (I would actually approve of this)... But it doesn't help get more students to the games. If you're going to cite the so-called "rules" they have... Has anyone actually seen any of these rules enforced in the past year or two? I doubt the "rules" are what's keeping casual fans away... It's lack of true passion for the team like all of us posters have on here.
You're killing me with these stats, man.Over 33% of your all-time posts are defending Cyclone Alley. I think you are obsessed.
At least it would be less lame and tickets would cost less for students. Is anybody on here really dumb enough to think that if Cyclone Alley was simply a student section with no formal structure students would be more likely to show up?
How?At least it would be less lame and tickets would cost less for students.

You're right. Removing one curly headed girl that's always on TV is going to bring 1000+ more students to the door. Nice use of graphics though, your point was really enhanced by that.

Based on the number of students who buy tickets but never or rarely go logic would tell you the cost should be raised.
There are extra costs associated with Cyclone Alley that are reflected to the students to fund the Alumni Association (I'm still not sure why the Alumni Association exists or what exactly it does.)

I understand that but students paying those for a higher cost of ticket isn't a problem, considering how early student basketball tickets sell out every year. Even though what you have said is true, there is no logic behind the idea that's why students don't attend games, why Cyclone Alley is not as exciting, etc.

There is evidence from when Cyclone Alley came into fruition that the non-Cyclone Alley section was significantly more rowdier and lively than the Cyclone Alley section.
I don't know if removing Cyclone Alley will completely alliviate all the attendance problems, but it sure as hell won't hurt it. It will remove all of the bureaucracy and save the students money too.
